Dwarf Fortress: CWCKi Forum Succession Game

So, I downloaded DF and started playing. It's pretty fun, although I haven't had any 'fun' yet. Mostly my dwarves are sitting around in a frozen hellscape and I'm trying to figure out how you make farming plots produce plump helmets. So, I'll probably join in. How do you upgrade to the latest version?

And why stop there? Jerkops, Devil Trolls, and more Forgotten Recolours would just add more fun!

You just gotta download the latest version from the website, it'll be the one right on the front page. 0.40.04 is the latest one as of right now.

I'd love to join in on this, just as long as my turn isn't between August 7th and August 17th. I'll be away then.
 
I could start off, if you want? Uzumaki, you still up for this, or would you like me to try and organise it?
 
I'll go second. This is were we've got one world and each of use builds a fortress?
 
In succession games, each of us runs the fortress for a year and passes it on to the next person along at the beginning of the next year by sending them the save file, leaving them to try and sort out whatever mess you have inevitably gotten yourself into. Bonus points if you leave unlabelled levers that control giant lava floodgates that the next Overseer will have no idea what it does until they pull it.

!!fun!! Inevitably ensues. Uzumaki wanted to do it slightly differently to build a world that can reference itself though so let's see what they say.

Somebody should contact him. It's possible that he's forgotten all about this and it's not showing up in his inbox. A simple succession game sounds fun, although a world succession game would be pretty neat.
