I figure I should point out that the source code is in C# (and used to be in UnityScript, a derivative of JavaScript), not Java. Java does not compile to IL bytecode, and thus does not run on the CLR or Mono. Java bytecode can be recompiled to IL bytecode using IKVM, but that's not the case here

So rusty I didn't even realise it wasn't Java, RIP. In my defense, I didn't look into it too deeply, and stuff looked similar enough.

I remember that time Alex had a long list of things that could be worked on a day and called it progress. He is definitely going to do a recap video filled with all the minor bug fixes done over the year and say it was productive. He did add 30 new custom and totally not ripped off hairstyles that can probably only work with the current placeholder models, so it was obviously a year filled with a lot of development for the game.

Eva always does this, and it's getting really retarded by this point. He has ideas and promises all over the place; in his videos, on his blog, in his reddit responses, etc. He has claimed to want to add (or that he will add) so many numerous features that are so obviously never going to come to fruition. Even if he were a competent enough developer, adding all the insane shit he's suggested would make his game a total clusterfuck of stealth with beat-em-up style fighting, school romance mixed with dark criminal edgelords, all a cherry on top of the completely autistic and nonsensical plot (that he seems to be stuck on). He can barely fix the bugs in his game (he's tried multiple times to fix the kidnapping council members bug, and wasn't even able to fix the core issue in the latest build, just make a quick shitty "fix") and content isn't even slowly trickling out at this point; it's just gone stagnant. It's beginning to remind me of Minecraft back in the day, with all the unkept promises from that lazy-ass Notch and his awful, half-baked excuse of a "game." It even has the dickriding community of children who never fault the developers. Notch was just a developer who got a massive case of lazyitis once he got all that money though, was never really a lolcow.

If Eva actually manages to put in any of the shit he just considered, even the "planned" stuff, I'll be beyond shocked. But I'm pretty sure he's just lying to keep interest in the game and to obtain asspats without even doing any work. Cheers to 2018 guys.

Edit: Also no Eva, buying/unlocking some Watch Dogs shit that makes magical hints appear is not a good idea. It is a shit idea, nobody wants to have to unlock the ability to learn how to play your game, and people aren't gonna do it anyway and will instead opt to read a wiki or walkthrough.
