He should have just launched the Kickstarter and hired actual programmers while popularity peaked ages ago. And gotten himself registered as an LLC while he's at it. But then he'd actually have to complete the game.

There's enough otaku out there that if he were to launch a Kickstarter stating the goal of hiring programmers to re-write and optimize the gamecode and he would stick purely to the designer and producer roles for the game, word of mouth would spread in no time to former fans and he would easily be funded.

But that would involve eating a huge amount of crow first, and it dosen't seem likely that this guy would EVER do it, even if it ment his dream game would finally be completed in a professional manner.

tbh this is old tea (maybe 7 months old) but hear me out. i don't know if this was said in this thread, and im too lazy to check but me and a friend were talking about yansim and she told me that the "potential" (quotes bc honestly yandev doesnt like doing extra work if it isnt easter eggs) dlc with kokona was ripped off from the anime called Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni. the whole getting stuck in a loop thing was originally from a character in the anime's story, so just beware that little things like that arent always original.

While I wouldn't be even a little surprised if it was torn from Higurashi, considering that yes, the billhook also has made it in, it's not really something we can prove as the 'repeating loop' version of time travel has been used in all sorts of stories (ex. Groundhog's Day, Boku dake ga Inai Machi, an episode of X Files, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, a Disney Christmas special involving the Duck triplets, etc.). It's a popular enough storyline that still sort of works for the character, and he could have gotten from anywhere.

Now if he involves a ghost or demon, we might be in business.

I think TinyBuild might have saved this game from being a total failure, Alex's code is some of the most garbage I have ever seen. The first thing TinyBuild did was to get a proper developer to rewrite all his garbage code in a better programming language. How someone with no experience in programming thinks they can make a game with such a big scope (and then convince people to donate to them) is beyond me.

I liked it when the only demon available a time ago was some floating hands out of the abyss. Follows the "show, but don't tell" rule to an extent. You can see the hands, but you don't know who and what they belong to.

Now the demons are fully telling about the hands and they [the demons] don't look creepy at all and really don't fit their themes. Aside from the succubus, succubi/incubi are a given since they're common with the Lust theme in mythology.

I do hate the succubus having that meme though.

I think Alex hasn't implemented succubi yet, not only because he's lazy, but also cause he doesn't have an idea how to summon her. I mean, flame demon is summoned using a dead meme, I think it says it all. Hands demon is at least interesting, hands rising from the ground are disturbing. What do we have with flame one? A meme. Such a serious game YanDev! Any ideas what the succubi could even do? Remeber it can't be using any new animations ,because that would require work.
