Tbh I think one of the reasons why they take LGBT and draw it as something gross is because they're not drawing LGBT but some sort of mis-mash of "progressive ideals" to the point of fetishism. They dont see any LGBT person as a person... just as a title of "oppressed" or just "LGBT" and nothing further.

I commonly see images that are "this person is trans, POC, doesnt conform to gender norms, has hairy legs/armpits, because gender nonconforming, and the most stereotypical face of whatever race I want and how I see them, oh and I'm against fat shaming, so I'm making them obese, and their hair is dyed the flag of their sexuality"

There's really no difference in what they do vs what furries do.. "here is my fox-sona, he's part dolphin because he likes water, part bat because its hip right now, and he's also part angel so I gave him wings, and he's a bad boy so I gave him one angel wing and one demon wing."

If they can't identify with it, but they like it or it's good/popular, they'll distort it in their own image, subsequently erasing why it was likable in the first place. Tumblr is a narcissist's paradise.

My favorite tumblr thing is the insistence that clothing is gender neutral. But that line of logic goes out the window the moment the character is a guy and wears a dress as a disguise. And then tumblr artists everywhere portray that character in their art is trans and "I DONT MAKE THE RULES!"

I can agree with this, in a sense. I'm a gay guy and I think yaoi fangirls are super fucking annoying, but for the same reason a lot of stuff featured in this thread is annoying. They both make out being gay as being some big fucking deal when it's not. Yaoi fangirls think that it's ~~super kawaii~~ and these types of people think being gay is like being part of some super elusive special club. Can't we just be normal?
