No wonder Bob is so skeptical of meritocracy, since in a meritocratic system, better film critics would have his job and relative popularity and Bob would be leeching off his brother even more than he does now. I can't imagine Bob working retail (by far the most likely job Boob Chimpman could ever hope to get), he'd be fired so fast due to his response to having to constantly interact with "inferior" people.

To be fair even if it's from China it hits the nail on the head. Communism may be a clusterfuck but at least it's a clusterfuck where their's an (failed) attempt at addressing relavent social issues as opposed to thinking that Ray and Finn is some sort of great leap forward.

Fucking hell this whole Superior Future reminds me of the Operative from Serenity. All about the paradise and the atrocities committed to get there are meaningless. The difference is the Operative was self aware enough to realize there was no place for him there and he was doing it in an attempt to make things better for the generations that come next.

That's what makes it more respectable to me even if I disagree with them. It's actual politics instead of wo/manchildren trying to justify their choice of entertainment with politics. Imagine how batshit it'd seem if there's a section in the history books about the West going insane for a generation and thinking pouring more women and minorities into sci-fi and capeshit (which were both already packed with diversity though that doesn't matter) would solve society's ills. People would think you're fucking with them especially if there is a major decline.

Unless it's rushed, they don't do comics literally the month before release. You do them in advance so you don't have to lose your shit if someone on your team gets sick or something. Yeah, I know Bob could weasel out because of his exact wording and say "I never said the next issue!".

The vetting process at Mahval Komiks must be top notch when you have people like Max Bemis (of Moon Knight fame) telling the customers to eat his ass and certified nut jobs like Gabby Riveria. Then there is Heather Antos AKA last year's model of Zoe Quinn wannabe, who does not even know when the books she is (assistant) editing are coming out. If what Diversity & Comics insinuates is true, the only reason she has the job is because Jordan White wanted someone to ogle at in the office.
Oh, and if you want to know what Jordan White looks like, here he is:

an confirm, I knew him in college. His creepiness was less of the sexual variety and more of the "weird for the sake of weird" stripe -- in fact, he was generally assumed to be asexual or a closet case. Also, he once tried to embark on a crash diet of carrots and Dexatrim because his out of town girlfriend (who was fucking insane, by the by) was coming by for a visit and he was self conscious about his obesity. Moron almost ended up in the fucking ER.Glad to see he's going bald, though.
