I've often thought that Bob fits well into the r/K paradigm (where r-selection is a mating strategy based on exploiting resource gluts and K-selection is a strategy based on taking advantage of resource scarcity. In their more extreme state, r-selected people tend to be urban bugmen like Bob, and K-selected people tend to be the highly religious, rural, working class "garbage people" that Bob hates. ) Bobbo is quite possibly the most r-selected person I've ever seen - basically raised as a big fat lazy rabbit feasting in an endless field of grass. He's basically never had to face hardship or homelessness, or any other character-building events that might have allowed him to endure life when things don't go his way. r-selected people are conflict-averse; oftentimes goading on their fellow rabbits to fight enemies (while standing waaaay in the back where they'll have a straight shot at escape if things go south. We've seen Bob do this countless times. He'll never stick his neck out and commit violence for the cause, but he sure does expel a lot of hot air trying to get other people to war on his behalf.)

r-selected people also have a tendency to outgroup, oftentimes siding with r-selected resource-seekers from other tribes and nations and trying to invite them in and have them compete against their tougher, K-selected countrymen (aka, MovieBob's working class "garbage people.")

TL;DR: MovieBob doesn't hate all Americans, just those who don't share his specific psychology when it comes to resources- those who stand between him and his lush, green fields of rabbit grass, er, Moon Wheat.
