How often do you think Bob has ever spoken to a Black person? And the nice lady that hands him a greasy bag at the drive through doesn’t count! Bob has lived his entire life in what is essentially an Aparteid State. The US Boston to Baltimore corridor. The South faced its issues decades ago and integrated. It has thriving White, Black, Latin and Asian Middle classes all living side by side in the same communities, going to the same schools. Whereas where Bob lives, for all their talk of Progressive Values, the races do not mingle. Black People are Poor People unless they play for one of the pro sports teams, and heaven forbid one should show up in Bob’s neighborhood!
