I can't even imagine the sort of shit he'd inflict upon a child. He doesn't even really seem to like them that much.

Dobson would be about as bad as a parent can get without being sexually or physically abusive. He would expect the child's life to be about him, he wouldn't engage unless it was something that interested him, he'd constantly make it clear to the child he considered them a burden and having to do anything for them a chore (like go to school plays or recitals), he'd forbid the kid to do stuff just because he personally didn't enjoy it (sports).

A lazy parent is bad. A selfish parent is worse. A lazy, selfish parent? That's a recipe for...
