None of his fanboys, or most other people, seem to understand that his apology is completely fake. His victim had to publicly shame him years after the fact in order to get him to do anything. And everyone is now licking his ass about it, like he's some kind of sexual assault hero, for apologizing only after public social pressure had been applied. Dan Harmon isn't sorry because he sexually harassed and bullied someone. Dan Harmon is sorry he got caught.

The most damming evidence of this is how he frames his admittance to the allegations entirely in how it was just so hard on him, and how deeply it effected his life both in and outside of work, while the actual people who were in the receiving end of his bullshit get barely passing mentions. Hell, even in the beginning he can't help but making it all about himself between opening with "understand what I'm dealing with" and then when asking his fans not to harass the woman involved he feels the need to add "you're only hurting everyone involved, especially me" at the end. This whole speech is clearly geared towards making himself appear as self-flagellating and pitiful as possible to illicit sympathy - like those teenage girls who go into full "OMG I'M SO SORRY I'M THE WORST I DESERVE EVERY PUNISHMENT IN THE BOOK" in a thinly veiled effort to fish for reassuranc/comfort from people calling them out on their bullshit - that I'm honestly baffled as to how anyone could think this is sincere.

Side note: Between all these sites writing about how Harmon's apology should be the gold standard for sexual harassment apologies like the one a few pages back and this thread here, and a lot of these same "journalists" have been tugging at their collars when they were shown to have their own skeletons in the closet, I can't help be put wonder if some chucklefucks decided to latch onto Harmon because they saw how Ganz reacted to his sorry excuse for an apology and thought they just found the perfect script to tote out should they ever have more scandals in the future so they don't have to keep firing people.

Not really a Harmon related topic inherently, but it could be if it was inspired by him.....what the fuck is the deal with Rick and Morty and references to incest? Am I like the only person to notice that they keep bringing up that topic? Not just the mist obvious case, which was the Morty in season 3 saying “I wish incest porn had more mainstream appeal....you know, for a friend” but also Summer asking Beth if she was hot, Dream Summer trying to fuck Morty, Beth saying “now we should worry if we hear bumping” when Rick goes to help Morty with the sex Robot.....Justin’s tweet about alternate universes where Rick and Morty are in a “healthy relationship”(because a sexual relationship involving a 14 year old boy and his 70 year old grandfather has the ability to be healthy apparently), it just keeps coming back again and again.

Usually a fetish for those without siblings, because it really seems like he wants a sister to fuck. IF he was the one to inspire that oddly specific theme to the show. Maybe Justin, but I know significantly less about him
