If you want to spend more money than a "gaming chair" (meaning a chair with adjustable armpads and decent options for height/angle) a lot of people suggest Herman Miller:
are you goutsydephil on twitter?

Everyone is assuming Phil got this chair for free. Is it possible that Phil bought this chair and coaxed spoogeseats to let him get a discount code? Someone already mentioned you get the same discount by going to their site. Would you put it past Phil to buy a chair to spite the haters and show his fans how wrong opseats was for being idiots.

Also spawn seats is a pretty good name since the chair will soon be covered in Phil's semen.
if he did pay for it, i think we'll know in a year or so when he starts bitching about those DETRACTOR SPAWNSEATS how they FORCED HIM TO BUY A CHAIR against HIS WILL and THEY BROKE HIS CONTRACT which is ILLEGAL FRED FUCHS DID THIS!!!

My theory: They don't care about Phil's reputation because he is not a paid spokesman for the company. He is just a customer.
I bet phil literally just bought a chair right after he got removed from opseat, and the new company noticed, did some digging and decided that it was good free publicity

Okay, so from what @neger psykolog and @Raven'sChild dug up, and the chair site, it's probably fair to assume whoever this person or these people are, they're desperately trying to create a business, even by questionable methods.

Pretty slow of me to realize that the "free shipping" part is because they charge such obscene amounts of something they got cheap themselves. Not even a logo included. Just forwarding the damn things for 50-100 bucks profit.

Maybe Phil was simply the first guy dumb enough to go into this free advertising deal. Most people interested in taking sponsors likely look at the business first to find out if they're reputable (how ironic, considering Phil bitched about opseat "not doing their research" before cancelling the deal). Then again, even if Phil had known, it's a free chair and it's not like he has any better business ethics himself.

This person was trying to put in an reddit thread created 20-25 days ago by the SpawnSeats people. The OP has now been deleted so I'll put it in here with all my autism.

I wouldn't look too far into it to be honest. A lot of people create these sorts of companies with very little investment and merely offer an easy way for people to buy shit online. Your best description is "middle men" which is pretty much the oldest profession on Earth (besides Kimberlie Brink's profession).

There are thousands of websites and companies exactly like this one (Google "dropshipping"). A lot of the off-brand stuff you can buy is essentially the exact same practice too, for example, walmart would go buy a billion toasters, put a generic brand on it and sell them at a budget price rather than designing their own shit.

It's how the world works and beyond documenting and researching their company I can't find it in myself to shit on them for having ambitions. While people may not agree on the concept it'd probably sadden them to know that almost every product they've ever purchased has the same underlying shit happening.

And yeah, that includes every video game or movie you purchase as well because they all have distribution agreements and "middle men". That includes your mobile phone, that includes your car, that includes your toilet paper. Such is life.

are you goutsydephil on twitter?
No

Now that we're onto the second "gaming chair" saga of January 2018 I feel that I can truly increase my autism when it comes to "gaming chairs":

I agree about the ego part, however the markup part isn't anything new or that groundbreaking. A huge number of websites and products operate around the exact same business model. "gamer chairs" are a fairly niche product if you're looking at scale, so their affiliate/discount/sponsorship practices are actually self-serving for both the chair companies and the customers (customers meaning people who want a decent, comfortable office chair without paying $1000).

So if you didn't have affiliate links/sponsorships then you probably wouldn't have gaming chairs to begin with because there's no market for them. Getting physical chairs in physical stores is hugely expensive (especially on a country-wide or international scale). Unless IKEA or someone came along and decided to make a chair that catered to gamers (meaning people who want a chair which offers adjustability as well as comfort).

The office chair market simply doesn't cater to teenagers and younger people, they sell their chairs to startup companies and CEOs who want an armrest with a decent cocaine compartment. The hardest thing to find in an office chair is decent adjustable armrests. If you can't adjust the armrests it can fuck you over.

If you want a high quality office chair you're looking at paying $500-$1000 or more but you can get a pretty decent one for $100-400 instead.

There's no real reason for office chairs to be so fucking astronomically expensive except that the companies that make the better ones know that they're selling to Fortune 500 companies so the prices can be as exceptional as they want them to be.

For me, I have a DXracer chair and previously I had some leather office chair I got because someone else didn't want it anymore. I've had other chairs from IKEA and other companies (nothing in the $500+ region though) and the DXRacer chair (despite its absolutely horrible branding) is actually pretty fucking good for what it costs.

If you read a lot of threads about "gaming chairs" most people agree that they're pretty good value for money and pretty comfortable (horrible branding aside).

If you want to spend more money than a "gaming chair" (meaning a chair with adjustable armpads and decent options for height/angle) a lot of people suggest Herman Miller:

View attachment 375275

That's right, the base model, with no adjustable lumbar support, no tilt limiter, no adjustable arms is $780.

If you want to add in shit like adjustable arms, it comes to $1,128. I'm sure that "gaming chairs" probably start to break after 1-2 years of use, but we're talking a difference in pricing of $700+

Its amazing that DSP, despite having to spend so much time on his computer has never invested in a decent chair though, and would rather wait to get one for free. His "loveseat" (as I've posted about before) has to be extremely bad for his posture/back to begin with. No person working in an office or using a computer for extended periods of time would ever use a fucking sofa to sit on (unless they had it positioned quite differently than DSP).

I planned to make a similar post, given that I have work experience in dealing with OEMs, and I have actually researched getting a gaming chair at some point as well. I have some stray points to add to yours:

1) Chinese OEMs are great at manufacturing decent-quality things for cheap, however, they are extremely shit at after-sales service (warranties, customer service..etc), because they don't give a shit about it in the 1st place, they are also prone to finding little shortcuts to make more money, which requires actual QA people to constantly check on them. This is probably why you see a lot of price disparity between gaming chair companies, because actually doing QA, honoring warranties (which means having spare-parts available, hiring workers to perform maintenance..etc) and having good aftermarket service means adding massive overhead. So when you go for say, DX Racer ahead of the others, you are essentially buying into their brand support and getting better customer benefits, better QA..etc. a cursory look at their warranty pages should tell you whether you're buying from a good company or not.

2) This is a bit :offtopic::offtopic:, but during my research into office chairs, I found that a lot of people mentioned that they got used Herman Millers, Steelcase..etc from office liquidators and surplus stores for a cut-price, those chairs are built for heavy-duty office work, we're talking 8-hours of usage for +10 years here. So this may be a better investment than racing-style gaming chairs as long as you don't mind buying a used chair and cleaning it up.

Generally the Chinese don't care about customer service because when you're talking AliBaba they're aiming on hundreds or thousands of sales to people who resell with a markup. If you're after one item people on Alibaba generally won't sell it to you and in any case buying on there isn't as simple as on other online stores because its geared towards industrial scale purchasing.

AliExpress is the Amazon version of AliBaba where you can buy products with much less quantity and have a much higher emphasis on seller>customer relationship. AliExpress won't even sell items to Chinese addresses because they have some weird tax law, so there is a whole separate version of AliExpress just for Chinese customers. Shipping a single chair is going to be cost prohibitive anyway, unless you're happy to wait 1+ month for land shipping.

The reseller should purchase and stock spare parts to make customers happy, not a factory in China. Much like anything you buy there's always a certain rate of products which are lemons.

So you're not only buying the chair from the re-seller (DXRacer or whatever) you're also buying the customer service from them. If you go and buy one direct from China and it turns out that its made from nitroglycerin then they won't care. You are not their customer base.

Kiwi Farms.

The more you know.

There's a hole in my life since Kimberlie Brink disappeared.

I'm trying to fill it with gaming chairs.

But I think that I can only fill that hole with a "true & authentic" 12 inch* black horsecock strapon.

Phil is just an autism and scam magnet isn't he? I swear if his soulmaid isn't a scammed or golddigger I will be shocked. Especially since he probably did the minimum of research into her.

I'm expecting a transexual to be honest.

I'm not joking, a normal person would not have standards this low and no social media presence unless there was something very wrong with them.

whenever someone like these chair guys try to utilize dps's notoriety for money it seems to always turn out horribly

Just wait for the 50 people on Twitter going "I'm going to/not going to buy 23 chairs from you now!"

I imagine the Chinese are watching in super confusion not knowing its all about goutboi and not knowing whether to shut down their chair factories or not.

They cover the cost of sending Phil a chair if they sell a single chair.

I'm sure at least one of Phil's fans will use that discount code.

I wonder if Phil even gets a slice of the profits. Maybe its just a free chair. I'm sure he won't mention it longer than a week. Maybe break it out once a year as a sign of his success. He's a real streamer with real sponsors dood. They sent me a chair once, okay.

Phil's on a roll, he should shoot for some gunnar glasses and wrist wraps while he's at it. Maybe a knockoff of those garter belts like Bret Favre shills.

Also, remember if the cheapest we can find the chairs for is 80 dollars for one, the whole sale price is probably 30 some bucks a unit.

Edit: it looks like their last resale venture wasn't very successful. From the look of this guy's reddit history it seems he's a moderately competent realtor who fancies himself a small business owner.

https://www.reddit.com/r/smallbusiness/comments/5j3y37/z/dbdgw3o

The website now leads to his realty website but based on this was originally selling purses and such. It probably takes all of an hour to set up a new site and buy some Alibaba products to resell whenever he's feeling like an entrpeneur.

You're new to the Farms, aren't you?

While I don't think the spawn seat guy is anything special or unique as far as resellers go, I did find something sort of interesting is they once fancied themselves a serious youtuber/streamer. I can't find anything on twitch/youtube just based off their reddit user name, but it makes me wonder if they actually did know about Phil/streamers. As opposed to Phil finding this chair deal himself.

Hell, it's probably another spam message. All he had to do was search through his junk folder.
