It may be odd to go back to my own school post, but I have a feeling that even schools before the 1970s wouldn't be this harsh and condeming of their black students. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't even care about Black Panther, does anybody? I think the people forming a human chain around the cinema to stop whitey from watching the movie will be entertaining though.

I'm not sure if you guys have heard of the upcoming game, Kingdom Come Deliverance which is a first-person game that is set during Bohemia during the early 1400s. Since it's not fantasy and will focus on historical accuracy, you can guess what the mass amounts of salt are about.

Wew lad, the salt may as well get its own thread. Far as Bohemia goes, even if it was as important as Spain or Italy, would it really be having a lot of non-Europeans coming through Bohemia such as the Moors? Even then, one may as well wonder how many of these people will sperg over a game they may never even play in the first place just because it doesn't match up to what they want.

I'd be surprised if the majority of people on that thread could even locate Bohemia on a map. Plus they seem to be under the impression that "Moors" always means black African when the vast majority of people called Moors had the same skin color as all Mediterranean people.

Given how in old literature "moor" is often used to refer to black people (most famously in Othello) we've had a long head start in thinking that way.

I could see if this was a game set in like, the Iberian Peninsula (modern day Spain), but in Bohemia, I don't remember ever reading about any large Moorish presence. (JEWISH, that's another story. But then, Jews are white to these idiots, despite the fact that they wouldn't have been at the time)

What, again? This game already raised a huge fuzz when the founder of the studio debated butthurts on Twitter, didn't it? One of them tried to report him to the studio which as you can imagine went absolutely nowhere because he fucking founded it.

Most evidence of non-whites in Northern medieval europe tends to be anecdotal because it's such an anomaly. They where incredably rare, Furthermore medieval europe was relentlessly intolerant of outsiders (especially people belonging to the incorrect religion) so unless such a group completly integrated with the general population to being absorbed with a generation well.....
Moorish spain wasnt really the same culture as Chrisingdom in the same sense you can't really compare china to America even though they're in the same period.
Islamic and Byzantine cultures where marginally more diverse but anyone trying to argue northern medieval europe wasnt white bread as hell is a fucking idiot and anyone arguing south is in for a disapointment if they're expecting 21st century cosmepolitanism.
Personally I find the idea of doing historical accuracy odd as a game where you spend your illiterate life growing food for your fuedal overlord while in low key pain due to medical issues a little dull.

Maybe he should have added POCs to the game, then we could have seen the racism and intolerance when the peasantry where exposed to such different people. Then we could see these people trying to claim its not historically accurate because everyone loved POCs back then.

If it's for PC, someone can always make their own mods. Kinda inevitable even if there's no tools released for the public. All you need is someone dedicated enough to implement the black people they want.
