He really can't help himself but get into this shit, eh?
lmao, he's gotta look for bottom of the barrel shady startup companies to make deals with, and even then gets fucked over. I'm getting laveria vibes from this.

He is almost Chrischan levels on Naive.
"They sent me an email and said one of the higher ups in the company is a FAN of mine and they know all about my haters! HYOOJ fan they said dood!" and he believed them. It was the exact same phrasing as the Laveria email and he fell for it AGAIN. Does he not know that "Hey, huge fan here" is the most generic thing that can be put on an email when you're doing a proposition to a Youtuber? They always say that. Yet he really believes them.

It appeals to his bloated ego so he falls for it every single time. Where laziness fails to explain his behavior (like doing things the hard way and refusing to change what he's doing), his overblown sense of self importance does (it's how HE does things so it's the best and everyone else is stoopid or following the leader)

I really don't know what mr. business degree was expecting out of this anyway, its just a fucking affiliate link like lootbox and like dozens of other affiliate link type things

He knew he'd get a free chair, but actual sales of chairs? Probably less than 10 in a year.

Detractors will get the blame for the company going scorched Earth, but it doesn't help your one and only spokesperson tells everyone the chairs are a bitch to put together and they just buy cheap shit from China to sell to you at inflated prices.

idk if you shut down your company over something as dumb as this then it probably wasn't something you had high hopes for in the first place

did zero looking into the company clearly, what sort of shady 'da bizness' goes dark like that within minutes/hours of being doxxed? imagine if his paypigs bought a bunch of chairs and then the company just disappeared, think Phil would have taken any responsibility for it? of course not

He just unbanned SavetheHouse, a sub who he earlier banned for calling SpawnSeats a scam. But scolded him saying 'what was I supposed to do' and to that people can't say that about companies that sponsor him. Great integrity there, Phil.

Save just apologized for the 'moment of weakness'. Which I guess means speaking the truth? Unbelievable.

Hey guys can someone explain what happened? Did he just get legit shitposted by a company. I am laughing so hard if this is the case.

TLDR:
  • Phil got "sponsored" by a company called "Opseat" like 2-3 weeks ago
  • Opseat was going to send him a free chair and he'd get an affiliate link/code so his viewers could buy a chair with a discount and DSP would get a small amount for each chair sold.
  • This is their standard business model and the same for all "gamer chair" companies, they give free chairs to YouTubers/Streamers and use affiliate links, its nothing special.
  • Opseat got shit over Twitter and various places from "da detractors"
  • Opseat did research on DSP and decided to terminate their relationship with him
  • DSP started talking about "good, pahsitive news" on his stream
  • Revealed within the past day that another chair company had approached him
  • People asked the chair company if they were ready for the "slander" from the fans, they said "we're ready"
  • After about 12 hours of people digging the claws of autism into their previous businesses they went silent, completely pulled their website down, deleted their twitter and various other things.
By all indications it wasn't a major company or anything, it was a recently started business venture (at the very most). They were like any other "gaming chair" company and were reselling chairs (most likely from China or perhaps even a local distributor). They had various posts on Reddit etc saying what their conversion rates were and how they were using Google Adwords to gain customers.

:stress:

I swear, DSP 2018 season is the best fucking season of any fucking show, real or not, I legitimately stopped watching the main thread as frequently, because I figured we reached the "this can't be topped" point with the Dutch catfishers thing. And then this happens.

imho its not even possible to "dox a company". You should be able to tell who is behind a company for the most part in order to gauge their reputation and to see if you'd like to business with them or not. If they don't make it clear who they are, where they're located etc then that's pretty dumb.

Especially when you're using the internet, you should fully expect people to discuss the details of who is behind a company.
