Repentence offered some excellent info on why this is A Horrible Idea, but because I enjoy beating dead horses...

So, the reason offered for partially burying the container is that it's freezing at night. Makes sense. Let's take a look at housing from NorthEast Canadian First Nations to see how their architecture dealt with significantly lower temperatures.

As we can see, the Algonquin had buildings that were 2/3rds buried for insulation...

Hearing Greta say "I...think? Aegean has experience with this?" sets off a massive flashing THIS BODES ILL alarm. Also, as mentioned, the idea of having the entrance below ground level, with sand constantly and eternally pouring down, breaks my brain.

This reminds me of a REALLY good Kafka-esque novel by Kobo Abe, The Woman in the Dunes, where a man is held hostage in a village that is getting buried by sand dunes. Every day is a laborious struggle to keep the sand out of the slowly sinking huts. There's also a movie adaptation, though I haven't seen that.

If ICE has waived their right to appeal, it means there are no longer any barriers to the approval of her USCIS application - deportation proceedings have effectively ended.

Hopefully the Sisterwood saga will be full steam ahead now.

I wonder if a greencard will make them double down on La Troona. I mean, it's pretty obvious its primary purpose was to allow Nina to live off the grid and not get deported if worst came to pass.

You'd think they would be ashamed to give up on it after so much virtue signaling but in the end they just do what they want and find a way to virtue signal, regardless, to their Facebook followers.

Assuming ICE isn't appealing. We don't really know. I'll take Pajeet's claim they waived it as worth about as much as anything they say.

Approving our favorite street shitter avoids having to deal with the negative attention, easier to just cave here and deport a few others with less resources at a later date. It all balances out in the end, with less headaches for ICE and the court

Sad we missed out on a potential last stand at La Zorra though.

I doubt they'll give up on it. There were signs of them wanting to move onto something new before the ICE crisis. They haven't done anything substantial for TLL for over a year now, and it's going to be more and more difficult to justify them receiving funds from TLL as that continues.

I suspect they really do see Traco as one big, never-ending troon sleepover. They, and they alone, will get to control who attends. I expect that their favouritism will cause substantial friction sooner rather than later.

It will be interesting to see how the donation drive goes and whether people redirect donations from TLL to La Troona.

We know that they fudge stuff. They were telling people that they had to be in Chicago a week early due to a "medical records mixup"/Nina needing a physical and TLL was asking people to "pack the court on 9 February". They obviously knew that the hearing was earlier than that or they wouldn't have turned up for it.
