Dunno about you guys, but the glorified toy commercial that stars slightly differently colored people than the other toy commercials is definitely the hill I choose to die on.

I'd love it if it turns out they just painted the Captain America figure differently for the Black Panther toys or something.

I grew up in the 80s and was a huge comic fan like most boys. I was friends with a lot of black kids because we were a military family and there were a lot of black kids around to be friends with and I don't remember a single one ever even looking black panther. They were all Superman, Batman and Xmen fans like the rest of us. Hell, one of those guys I'm still close to this day with was a big Collosus and Hulk fan, to the point of having a tattoo of each on his biceps.

No one cared about the color is the skin of the heroes we pretended to be, they just cared they weren't being tricked in to being something lame like Plastic Man or Blue Falcon

By making it so obvious that they get upset by giving it a low score, people are going to give it low scores and laugh when people cry about it.

Also Socjus is not concerned with real issues. Only empty and vapid shit that they can virtue signal about. You also have to remember most people that care about this are in the middle class or upper middle class. They don't care about the poor masses or the working class which is what Fences is about. It's a signature of theirs: ignore the poor and working class, care only about pop culture and shallow issues.

Yeah, remember when that serious artistic film Kong: Skull Island got the CinemaSins treatment? Salt for weeks.
 
You'd think the blatantly transparent virtue signalling of insisting an unrealistically high score for what is pretty much just a typical popcorn flick would be an insult to the people involved with this movie, and to black people as a whole (since blackness seems to be the catalyst here). That they'd be bothered by the condescension and lowered expectations on their behalf.
But I guess ~the oppressed~ don't have any semblance of pride anymore.
 
The lesson I draw from this Niagara of salt is that if there's this much achin' ass from Black Panther getting a slightly negative review, then we may safely conclude anti-black racism is finally and officially totally fucking over.
