Jazz was and is a child who was forced to transition too fucking fast. And now has to live with the life long consequences of her parents giving her hormones too soon. She will never be able to have gender reassignment surgery because of that.

There seems to be ways to do a more complicated vaginoplasty on jazz, but I don't think they will ever have a sex drive or orgasm, or viable sperm, which is infinitely worse imo. Even women mutilated by FGM have more of a chance at sexuality, and are not castrated. Another aspect of this that jazz's dumbass mother ignored is who will want jazz post surgery? Creepy chasers is my bet. Jazz still has many male features that are worsening with age, and neovaginas have little in common with natal ones.

In any case hormone treatment can dampen sex-drive even in males who transitioned well after puberty.

That's a good point – when you're a kid, more colours is better. It's an odd choice that only gender diverse island is rainbow-coloured, as if the LGBT community can't exist in any other place. Actually when I think about it the colour-coding in that map is pretty old-fashioned. It might communicate to kids that if you want to play with the full range of toys - pink girl toys and blue boy toys, you have to be gender diverse.

That's why they don't do it very often. They are just as happy coloring with crayons or whatever, can't say the same of most adults W a sex drive. Libido is the driving force behind masturbation in sexually mature people, children and puberty blocked adults don't experience it. I'd suspect that the blockers and genital dysphoria combined has resulted in Jazz's abnormally low sex drive. Unfortunately, the outcome may have been better without blockers at least on the surgical front.

We already know from multiple studies and clinics' patient observations that post-op trans people have higher suicide rates than the population of their birth sex, and either have the same or worsening mental health (depression, suicide ideation) than trans people on hormones who haven't undergone SRS/GAS. So there isn't good evidence for surgery improving the mental health outcomes for trans people, but these studies are all with people who transitioned as adults.

Hormones weren't typically given to kids so I don't think any studies reflect on their outcomes. But now since this recent trend, and govt meddling resulting in the firing of renowned dysphoria expert Dr. Zucker from CAMH for running his clinic by talking to children rathr than pumping them full of hormones (they observed an ~80% rate of desistance by age 18 ) there's going to be a large enough group of transitioning children to study.

It'll be interesting to see follow-up studies for the kids from the current crop and what their outcomes are. Trans advocates expect them to transition easier and pass better because they didn't go through puberty, and so they'll be happier. They won't be self-conscious about their voice pitch, adam's apple, and might feel less of a tug-of-war on their brain from having been bathed in other sex hormones for so long. The trans community focuses too much on the superficial aspects (voice pitch, jaw width, appearance) and think if only those problems could be avoided, that would solve everything. But there are a lot of things they aren't anticipating: difficulty with SRS/GAS when there isn't much tissue to work with due to genital atrophy, lack of sexual maturation could deny them a key part of their identity and happiness as adults, being sterilised before being old enough to comprehend the ramifications and finding they wish they could have children later, etc.

It's very likely that adults who transitioned as children will have even worse outcomes than those who transitioned as adults, and their outcomes aren't peachy to begin with. Reversal surgeries do exist and their rate is increasing but it's not easy to reconstruct functional genitalia that have been destroyed, and there are a lot of permanent effects that can't be undone when you start the process as a child. I can't wait to see the studies on these kids.

I watched the video with Jazz with the sound off. It makes me sad. I can see very masculine features that really aren't becoming on a girl. If her parents had left her alone, she would have probably grown up to be a happy gay teenage boy. Maybe he wouldn't be super interested in sex, but at least the option would still be there.

I also didn't know their family was Jewish. Is it just me, or does Jazz look kind of...dark? Grandma looks like stereotypical Jewish grandma to me, but I thought Jazz was Hispanic. Maybe they're the Cuban kind of South Florida Jew.

Beauty Parlor. Also he rejected an offer to get testosterone cream in an attempt to increase his penis size. His sex life was over before it begun and now his family literally tells him to choke the bishop.
