Alright. Whoever has the actual 'tism go find what his girlfriend's PC Overwatch account name is. Time zone was CST.View attachment 380336

All these years of claiming he's just an "Average Joe gamer", and one win in Overwatch was all it took to take him back to the "one of the best overall gamers in the country" hilarity. Forget the fact that he hardly plays first person shooters, forget the fact that he almost never plays anything on PC. It's just all that raw hardcore gaming talent, dood.

Those 21 "kills" are 21 kills he participated in. More than likely (like 100%), his team carried him, and he had little to no positive influence on the outcome of the match. Anyone who's seen him play Overwatch on the PS4 knows that his terrible aim is the least of his problems. We know he played matches other than his one, too, but he's already writing those losses off as bullshit, lag, flukes and/or cheaters. The TV is just his newest boogeyman, and I predict a fundraiser in the very near future. Something something "it will make for more enjoyable streams with better gameplay, because I'm doing better at the game". You know, like how the Pokken controller for the Switch turned everything around for him. LOL.

I can already see him starting advertising it TODAY.

In Friday's PUBG stream, chat asks if he'll play Overwatch again and he says he will never play that game again. Not gonna happen. It's in the 11th and final match of the 2nd stream on February 9.

Also, that stream had so much "interaction" (i.e. 2 whales tipped $50 each) that he has added another "final" PUBG stream for tonight:

There are no settings that make a consumer TV react like a "gamer tv". The closest thing you can get is the upcoming BFGD from nVidia which is probably going to cost $3000+.
Powerleveling here because at one point I was dedicated to competitive fighting games.

Some TVs do actually offer a 'Game Mode' that cuts out video processing to reduce the input delay, my only experience/search was into Samsung TVs though.
http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/skp/faq/1067591/
http://ccm.net/faq/40597-samsung-smart-tv-how-to-enable-the-game-mode

Amazingly, Phil isn't even looking at some of the more expensive big TVs with low delay, I was considering this TV for it's low delay but decided against it because it wasn't essential:
https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01MZFKFI9

Delay is actually a huge deal for fighting games.
If you practice combos on a standard consumer TV and then jump over to a lagless monitor you will start dropping your combos, even one of our local execution gods had this issue(He played C. Viper in SF4 and I never saw him drop FFF or swag combos on his home TV). Some games reduce this importance, SFV has input buffers making all combos baby mode even online, and DBFZ is less about the timing in combos and more the sequence of buttons(though I'm aware optimised stuff has timing)
Beyond that there's reaction time which can make the tight reactions needed for anti-airing and blocking pressure more difficult, though in the case of online play it's the variable amount of delay that's the real killer when trying to perform an action at a very specific time.

If one were to be frugal though, they would settle for a 24"-27" TV with 10-15ms delay, which you can find some cheaper ones for $220 or so.

Overall, despite delay being a legitimate thing to be worried about in fighting games, Phil will always lack the strategy/defense/reaction time to be a good player so he'll bitch about everything in the end anyway. He's just some low tier player that has some very minimal fundamentals from ST, that thinks he's a top tier player in other games

He has a 55" TV in his """office""" and he has some kind of tiny 23" or whatever TV mounted on the wall in his living room. He's not downgrading his office to a 24-27" TV lol.

EDIT: I guess the TV in his living room looks like a larger one when I see it with the speakers and cable box in frame, nvm that part.

You're right there's no way he would downgrade when he can just throw money at his problems.
What Phil should have really done is acknowledged that he's purely an online player and started playing in a style more suited for online. Typically online reduces the importance of reactions and reading your opponent ends up holding much more value in exchange. Too bad Phil doesn't know what a read is and will remain in auto-pilot bitching about CAN'T BLOCK for the rest of his career.

This guy suffers from depression like Scrooge McDuck suffers from being poor.

I know people who are depressed, who take help from psychologists, who take medications against it. I experience and understand why they tick like they do and how that's not part of their personality, but a serious mental issue.

Phil states he has depression. I don't believe him. Someone with that issue wouldn't insult people on a daily basis, get angry and confrontal about 1st world problems and wouldn't have an ego so high it would make Mount Olympus jealous. Nonono, Phil has some mental problems but the ONE he is searching for that fits his narrative is simply:

Fear.
He fears that he couldn't hold his lifestyle forever and that would be true. Youtube apparently sucks and won't exist forever. Also Twitch won't exist forever. And nobody guarantees that there will be a future streaming-plattform where you can get money (and will Patreon exist forever?). However as we've seen: Phil is able to force-jump his way to every plattform he desires. So maybe his problem has more to do with his age?
Who wants to see an OldFuckPhil play videogames? How is his plan for the next 5-10 years? He has no Plan B, and time flows very fast the older he gets. It's also very unlikely he can get back in a real job. Everything he did as a job and learned about business is waaaayyy too far in the past so his accomplishes are nearly meaningless for employers. Talking meaningless shit about videogames by being shit at playing them: Also meaningless.

So all he can hope is leaching money from creating cheap meaningless content and that his fans are dumb enough to support him until he dies of old age.
Yes. I would be afraid of that too.
Depression often accompanies anxiety

Suffering from something and realizing you suffer from it and proactively trying to fix it don't necessarily go hand in hand in hand.

His internet is shit. It's cable, so its highly possible there is something wrong with not only his connection but his entire neighborhood's connections. Which is his fault for moving into an area with no fiber internet.

I'm also pretty sure he relies on a modem/router that is older than his new girlfriend which is probably the biggest issue.

Home/consumer TVs do not offer low latency, its a very niche feature that offers no benefit to 99% of consumers. There might be some that are slightly better than others, but home TVs are not the place to go if you're looking for lower latency.
You can get a decent low latency monitor for pretty cheap. Didnt he talk about getting one recently? Why just not use that?

Probably because its like 23" or some shit. He plays from his sofa so logically needs something larger.

He's an idiot, what else is there to say at this stage.

Thank goodness monitor/tv companies aren't like OpSeat and SpawnSeat though. That's right Phil, you're gonna have to pay for it yourself.

His television almost definitely has a Game Mode on it; there is a Dark Souls 3 video and he's "demonstrating" how much input lag there is, and attributes it to the "bad port" of the game when it is obviously the settings he has setup on his machine. I remember playing XB2 on the Switch and could not figure out why the salvage minigame was so hard, come to find out my settings had been switched back to TV mode.

. . .I also like how we all just assumed he was at least competent in his setup that he of course would have his television in the proper mode for playing games (I mean it's literally called GAME MODE on my 2011 television, hard to miss).

Mmh. So basically every game in existence is made by people who ship their games broken and unplayable without noticing it.
Or DSP has bad equipment.
I wonder which of these is more likely. I really wonder.

Edit: I believe him when he says many inputs are delayed for him. This is what he subjectively observe. He is a bad player, has bad eyesight, doesn't understand the games he's playing but he's not disabled from all we know (bad spinal doesn't count in this case). So when he complains over many years that everything is delayed (and his internet is awesome) it could be bad equipment. I mean his streams seem to have good quality without lag from all I know so yes, good internet until proven false.
On the other hand: DSP is a notorious liar and maybe he just wants a new TV. But just out of curiosity I would like to know if a new one would change anything or if he is just bad.

You forgot the true & authentic reason:
DSP is shit at games and is a whiny crybaby about everything

And what console games does he imagine he'll be playing with 4K graphics and 120fps?
I don't think you can even get a new TV with decent gaming performance that doesn't have 4K and 120fps.
But at least they finally stopped including 3D.

I'm going to tell you guys EXACTLY how it went down.

1. He was talking to his gf about Overwatch and how much he fucking hates it because it's a "shit game" he's not good at, and she begged him to play on her account on her PC to give it a second chance.

2. Phil's gf is DOG SHIT at Overwatch. Somehow, someway worse then he is. So bad, she get's placed with sub bronze, potato rank, competition regularly.
(I know this because my younger brother occasionally plays these people too. They exist. They're THAT bad. It's hard to watch, much less believe.)

3. Philip Burnell plays 1-2 games and is a god amongst insects and destroys everyone.
(I could not believe I had to type that. Until today, no lie, Phil was the worst person I have ever seen try to play Overwatch in a serious manor.)

4. Thinks he's Gohan and this was him playing at his true potential and proceeds to point the finger at his TV for YEARS of garbage gameplay.

5. Immediately starts looking for a 4k TV.
("It's for the business dude!! It's going to bring in CRAZY subs!! I'm gonna be GOOD!!" I have too!!!!!")

OR ... and this is more plausible...

DSP always lies, plus he never plays off stream. HE made up the whole story to have a reason to buy a new tv.

JUST THINK ABOUT IT. You are a fukin peasant your whole life, you play a few good game on pc and your conclusion is---> get a new tv for the console... and not... play on pc.

"Well yes, i totally agree that pc gaming is where it’s at if you want the absolute least delay possible. But i dont have the option of getting an insanely badass gaming pc, and getting a new tv may be a quick, good improvement."

see???
