I think the most obvious evidence of TV lag is how the Melee nerds play on CRTs because it just fucking blasts it on the TV without lag, but I was pretty sure a lot of fighting games have that fancy input buffering to ease that lag, don't they?

Admitting his net was Laggy would be confirming detractors were right all along and suggest fault with his super expensive business broadband (for his not business) that he's used as a badge of honour to show he's above pleeb internet.
Phil would rather keep being wrong than admit being wrong all along.

He could couch it as his own idea given he does this shit all the time. He did it with Minecraft, he did it with FNAF, and after months of his own fans telling him to do it, he did it with Sunshine. He really has no excuse other than my hypothesis that he just wants to keep the router as an excuse to take blame off of himself for whenever his game starts to fall apart due to his inability to git gud. It's also why I suspect he sticks with wireless controllers.

I am definitely a gamelet. I never knew that TV lag was a thing :/ Maybe Phil is just lying about his experience on Overwatch to justify buying a 4k tv. Whatever the reason the pay pigs will show up.

I found myself looking at it less and less the last few months. A lot of the info was just lifted from here or could be found here anyway, granted you don't have to wade through the occasional power-leveling or autism like you do here - just shitty vidya game opinions. Also, didn't his Twitter disappear last year and then return after a day or so?

Well fuck. That service was a godsend for 99% of people who want the Cliffs Notes on Phil drama but couldn't be bothered to sift through hours of shitty content listening to him belching and snorting into the mic. It's Goutsydephil's time to shine now lads.

Phil just one of those kind of people who just likes to find the much expensive solution to any problem as a status symbol (and frankly because it's not really him that's paying).
But actually fixing problems just leaves less excuses to other problems.

This whole shit with his TV reminds me of a piss poor salesmen I met a couple of years ago.
Decided to upgrade my TV, looked around for advise in terms of quality, reliability and value for money, found the best TV for what I was willing to pay and went to buy it from the cheapest retailers.
Guy try to upsell with this banter
"Yeah its a great TV but this newer model has better picture quality than the naked eye can perceive"
So I laugh and say
"So it's better in a way I can't actually tell"
"Well yes buy that means it's future proof and you will know it's better".

I laughed my add off....but Phil would likely go for it.
