I am just disappointed that they will never make another Goemon game.

If I were Konami I would use the fox engine to make a metal gear 1 (not MGS1) remaster like capcom is doing with RE7/RE2Remaster.
MGSurvive and a Rising2 being the Ressident evil7 and a MG remake being the RE 1/2 remasters.
Konami is not smart and fucking lol at people putting more blame on Kojima than them. This is a Konami, to simply fuck with Kojima, REMOVED Silent Hills from the PS4 download store so no one could ever download it again, in addition to cancelling it. And cancelling a game with massive hype and desire which Capcom had some moment of fucking clarity and capitalized on it with RE 7, making massive amounts of money. They were so spiteful, they wouldn't even let the guy attend a doritos sponsered event. And you're telling me that they're worse than some artist who has a big of ego (IE: All of them)? Fucking lol. Konami is egotistical to the point of being an autistic teenage exceptional eating a tide-pod. To blame Kojima more than Konami is really fucking stupid and being contrarian.
This isn't Electronic Arts level, this is autistic re,tard level. Also, all signs point to Konami not putting up with any more budget, leaving it unfinished. Who could afford more than the 80 million it was made for. Its not like Kojima was blowing a 200 million dollar budget here. Konami made the game unfinished by a known quantity for 80 million, and if you hire the guy you know what he's like. They gave him his own division to fuck around with and then suddenly, 'oh sorry, these polaks made a game for $85 million and its like the best game ever. we're not giving you another dime lol'.
Also, 'Act 3' wasn't even the ending, but some additional mission that got cut. Which Kojima does all the fucking time. He's done this since MGS 1 (cutting large swathes of things), its just that he had a terrible relationship with Konami this time.
It was made unfinished by spite-fucking from Konami and Kojima throwing his name on every chapter was spite-fucking back. MGS V is basically the child of a messy divorce, which is unfortunate. Konami is more than comically evil, its an inept, re.tarded child and has been for a very long time.
Its fucked up every good series it has and has had other companies to replicate the potential of the IPs it owns, making them tons of money. I see no reason to buy a mildly OK zombie co-op game to support what is essentially an autistic screaming child playing in its own shit.
No idea if it's true or not but I heard Konami wants to kill it's gaming division entirely so they can focus solely on scamming nip shekels from retirees via pachinko.

It's more of a fact than a theory at this point. Personally, I wouldn't say that they "want" to kill their gaming projects but more like it's becoming increasingly difficult to keep it going. Game budgets (especially at the level of MGS titles) are becoming on par with Hollywood productions (and rising, which is why we see so many microtransactions nowadays, on top of AAA prices). They also lost Kojima who was the main guy there behind gaming and are now working at a loss against fans who feel betrayed.
It's not easy making games and maybe they just weren't making enough money out of it to continue working on them. Sure, MGS always sells - but does it sell enough to offset the huge production costs? Also how risky is it to put so much work ($$$) into a game and risk it being a flop? I remember even MGSV getting some criticism for its second half feeling less than polished or whatever (didn't actually play it though). Maybe they felt it wasn't a reliable market anymore.
It's no different from the way Williams decided to get out of arcade games after the fiasco of their "Pinball 2000" project. More money to be had in casinos apparently. This is absolutely true. They have said they are not a gaming company and are looking to retire all of their titles except for this one soccer game that normie dumbfucks buy because it makes so much money that even Konami cannot ignore it. MGS Survive was made solely to rub salt in Kojima's face. Its basically re-uses assets in an engine they already have. Its not like it cost them a lot of fucking work to make. As far as I know, the soccer game and this are the only games they have lined up. Maybe it'll sting, maybe it won't, but Sony has basically given Kojima a blank check and told him to go HAM. The fact that Konami still care is just more of how fucking stupid they are.
You also have to remember Konami are family owned, which is very rare for a corp these days. So it isn't like a corporate board can go, 'Hey, you're letting really expensive IPs die on the vine that everyone else is taking advantage of, lets do something about that'. Its more this one spiteful faggot going 'lol, let them die'. They apparently make a shit-ton of money through like gyms and gambling and shit. People know of Konami in Japan as more a gym and gambling company than a gaming one.
Must be a lot of bad blood in the gaming industry in Japan these days.Doesn't shock me to hear that they're spiteful manchildren. I heard after Kojima's firing they basically went out of their way to ensure that everyone who worked for Kojima studies was essentially blacklisted from the industry.

They were so spiteful, they wouldn't even let the guy attend a Doritos sponsored event that doesn't matter at the end of the day but bought them a massive amount of hate for no reason but spiting Kojima. And you're telling me that they're worse than some artist who has a big of ego (IE: All of them)? Fucking lol. Konami is egotistical to the point of being an autistic teenage re,tarded eating a tide-pod and drowning it with a cool glass of bleach. To blame Kojima more than Konami is really fucking stupid and being obviously contrarian. Konami in no way, shape or form would have ever let Kojima finish the game he wanted, even if it was for a dollar fifty.

The thing isn't 'Who have the fault' , is what is happening after that. This is absolutely true. Like @Secret Asshole said, they aren't a company; they're a family of dickheads. It wouldn't surprise me if they tried to keep a stranglehold on the MGS IPs even if they're bleeding money left and right just because they can't live with the idea of giving Kojima or his fans a victory, no matter how minor. The only good thing Konami can do is sell their IPs to someone else. They can work out a deal to keep the rights for pachinko machines and what not. At this point, I can hardly see them as being a well run company at all.
guys, we found the super goemon youtuberI am just disappointed that they will never make another Goemon game.
I played the second beta and it seemed to be the exact same as the first one. Kind of disappointing to be honest.
