Thank god that (AFAIK) all this shit hasn't touched Judge Dredd or it's associated items. A bit of a shame, though... would have loved to see the Tumblr crowd burst a vein over Dredd for all the wrong reasons (or for them to read any of the early stories involving the cities outside Brit-Cit, MC-1 and -2, or Oz...)

That's because Judge Dredd is a European comic, and for various reasons, something like this could never happen there.

Comics culture is so different in Europe the conditions that led to what we are seeing today in comics probably could never exist over there. (Britain's kind of a special case in comparison to other European comics cultures but it still could not be a thing over there.)

Let's just say that out of all the comics that were hit by the SJW stick, Squirrel Girl was one of the hardest hit.

I'll give you a small taste of it, one of the comics had "Iron Mansplaining" as a joke (and not in the parody sense).

jesus christ, i worked with Meyer for a period in the military, and afterwards in the contracting world. he's doing security work these days in CA unless he moved since 2015.

edit: how is it optimistic that it's the same guy? i literally spoke to him a month ago asking if he was the diversity and comix guy and he acknowledged it. seems pretty straightforward.

Also, Disney wants vertical integration, they want the comic book characters to at least have the same fucking gender and ethnicity as their movie equivalents.
Fuck, imagine if Black Panther was an Inuit lesbian when the Black Panther movie came out.
That’s the same situation that happened with Avengers, Ironman, Thor, etc.

Yeah, but just because the country is doesn't mean every industry in it is. Alan Moore is still treated like a God in the UK, even though he's persona non grata to the sjws. Grant Morrison and Warren Ellis buy into the idpol shit to some extent, but along with Moore the sjws have gone after Kevin O'Neill, Garth Ennis and even Neil Gaiman and Kieren
Gillen (he's not old school, but he should be an sjw darling considering he is basically responsible for nu games journalism and helped found rock paper shotgun.)
