Wanted to be here when it happened, but oh well, should've acted like Alex and stayed in my room I guess.
:late::late:, but from me as well, happy 1000 pages full of rollercoaster rides, filled with :autism:, :feels: and :horrifying:!
Would've never guessed we'd actually reach that number.. It's as sad as it is funny.

Also, that whole ''Set the fire alarm to lure out people'' thing..
Alex ignored the one's who told him ''That's kinda harsh. You know what happened recently?''
And instead answered the people who argued about the game mechanic. Yep. So much more important..:suffering:

With these body pillows, I'm curious as to why Alex has resorted to mulberry rather than kjech?
In case someone is still wondering where Kjech is and why Mulberry is taking over, turns out Kjech has recently moved to Japan and doesn’t have much time for Alex anymore. They still seem to be on good terms and he hasn’t officially left Yan Sim, but I think he might just quietly disappear, like other artists before. For example, the artist before Kjech who drew the last batch of not obscenely sexualized rivals simply stopped responding.

Mulberry's Student Council art is now official.

Kjech’s art was bad, but at least it looked like he put some effort into it.
If Mulberry replaces it with her stale lazy garbage catering specifically to Alex’s ever-growing list of fetishes, we’ll probably start missing him.

Also, happy belated 1000 pages. The legend goes on.

Jay showed the conversations between the dumb boys during lunch, and apparently the "anime" they're talking about is like a reference to Doki Doki. It's literally talking shit about it, even.

And yet he called it an “imaginary anime” that “only exists in the YanSim universe”.

Couldn’t have he just made it an anime that ironically happens to line up with Ayano’s storyline instead of ripping off other people’s plots?

His "original anime" definitely reminded me of Puella Magi Madoka Magica at the beginning (also known as Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica = Magical Girl Madoka Magica) with a touch of the Hyperdimension Neptunia series.
The part of people driven to do bad stuff (like murder?) was what witches did in Madoka Magica, and only the magical girls could see and fight them. [It's one of my favourites because there are so many references to Faust, my favourite tragedy.]

The part of having to be known & loved or so to have power reminded me of Neptunia because the goddesses need their Shares high to have any influence and strength (plot-wise). They are personified consoles, and Shares are the belief of people in them. Basically consoles and their loyal fanboys.

Pretty sure in the end he just slapped a lot of stuff from different anime he watched into one thing and called it original.
You know...just like he did to create YanSim.

It's almost definitely a reference to Magical Girl Madoka Magica, which was super hyped as a magical girl deconstruction ("The story follows a group of female middle school students who choose to become magical girls and must battle surreal enemies called witches. However, they consequently learn of the anguish and perils associated with their newfound roles."), and also had one of its first plot twists halfway through the season and stuff. The "monsters" in Madoka Magica were also "witches" that are invisible to humans feed on their negative emotions and stuff. He probably just wanted to shit on it for being popular.

I would be surprised if Eva truly disliked PMM since Gen Urobuchi wrote it. Dude wrote a lot of successful novels (which received anime adaptations), anime, and even super sentai, a lot of them edgy as fuck. But if he did, my guess is it's because the only character with big busty boobies died in the plot twist episode and is otherwise a total side character.

Agreed, but I can totally see Eva being the type who thinks he's the only one who does edge correctly, and that any other show trying to do it is just "buying into the hype" and being shallow and superficial compared to his totes deep meme game where you ~play as a serial killer!!!~
