Unpopular Opinions about Video Games

I wish devs didn't completely strip anti aliasing from the PC versions of multi platform games. Just because console peasants can't afford a decent PC doesn't mean all our games should also have to look like they're made out of jagged staircases.
I have never been bothered by aliasing in games. Anti-aliasing has always been a waste of resources to me.

Don't know how unpopular this opinion is but I'm not a fan of mods that make everything anime for western games. I'm all for mods that fix the hideous vanilla models of games like Oblivion and Skyrim but making everything look like something out of a JRPG or Korean MMORPG is incredibly tacky. It never gets pulled off well. I also see it a lot with Stardew Valley portrait replacement mods and it's one of my biggest pet peeves with that modding community.

Alien Versus Predator 2000 is better than AVP 2, and Return To Castle Wolfenstein is the best Wolfenstein game.
I don't even get what people are sperging out about. You're a police officer fighting a doomsday cult and your allies are a blue collar worker, a small business owner, and a priest. Doesn't sound anti-right wing to me, but people are REEEEing like it's a game where you play as a transgender woman's studies major gunning down people in MAGA hats. Anyone who watches the trailer should be able to figure out that the enemies are based on Heaven's Gate/Peoples Temple/etc, not regular ol' religious 'muricans.
The enemy of the game is basically if Common Filth ran a cult and from the trailers it looks like most of the enemy grunts are black/Hispanic.

Rayman 3 is extremely underrated. Nobody talks about it the same way they do 2 or Origins or Legends. And it's kinda sad. I wouldn't say it's on the same level as 2, but it's extremely fun and it set the series' tone after that.

After waiting a couple of months for the hype to die down, I decided to take a look at pokemon ultra sun/ultra moon- and I can safely say I’m glad I didn’t end up buying the game after all because it just looks like a repackaged Sun/Moon with a few additions added on that would’ve just been better off as DLC material. I know GameFreak doesn’t entirely like the concept of DLC- but damn, I think the Ultras are a rip off if you already have Sun/Moon. Maybe I’m biased because I didn’t play it- but there isn’t anything about it that would intrigue me into buying it.

I’m actually considering reselling my copy of Moon just due to how big of a let down that was.

I used to play Pokemon and let's be honest, all of the games in the series are the same.

I also get confused when people bitch about the games being too easy... It's like ordering from a kids menu and complaining that the serving is too small...

Especially considering how exploitable the original game was.

That Miltank in G&S though...

You can get a traded machop with a drowzee and cheese her with dat. Or you can simply roll in with some girl 'mons to make half of the reason she's annoying go away. What's hard as a kid ain't hard now.

Besides, Rocket Grunt with that Raticate in Mt. Moon was more bullshit first time going.

Need For Speed: The Run is one of the best racing games ever. Racing games will either make cars too floaty (Burnout) or too heavy (NFS 2016, The Crew), but the cars in The Run felt like the perfect balance. Drifting corners felt amazing, the boost system was really finely tuned, and there's nothing that says tense like zooming down a highway against half a dozen other people while dodging traffic.

The Majora's Mask 3DS remake is inferior to the original. I didn't like the various changes made to the game; the Ocarina of Time remake was faithful to the original game, it just had spruced up graphics and was portable. MM 3D on the other hand had some annoying changes made to the overall game like some added dialogue that spells things out to the player instead of letting them figure it out. The revamped bosses were also pretty lame; the original bosses were cool so I don't know why they had to change it all. There was also the Zora swimming controls, which made it so you had to use magic to swim like in the original; I don't know why they would have to fix that, the swimming was perfect in the original game.

I also disliked the overhauled save system where playing the Song of Time didn't save your progress. You had to find an owl statue to save and that bugs me because whenever you loaded up your file in the original, you had a full three days to work with from the start. Plus it seems easier to screw up where you are with the owl statues.

About the only change I did like was the Song of Double Time allowing you to pick a specific time to skip to; that cut out a lot of waiting around.

I actually prefer The Twin Snakes over the original PS1 Metal Gear Solid. Probably because it runs on the MGS2 Engine (I prefer Sons of Liberty over Snake Eater, another unpopular opinion), as well as being able to play the game with the GameCube controller (best controller ever).
I also prefer Rob Paulson's Grey Fox voice over Greg Eagles' (thinks it fits his character more), but I'm not really sure whether that's an unpopular or not.
