"Fundraising goal"
Alrighty guys! Its Business Finance Class 101! Today we are going to be learning about the financial side to the concept of "Fundraising" in the United States.
*snip*
So basically, Phil is doing the same thing with this fundraiser that he did with the state taxes?? Not only that but he needs to pay taxes on the fund raiser to pay his taxes? lmao

Ya know, that's probably something he should have asked his tax attorney. A lot of times in the business world the words you choose mean a lot more than you think. He probably thought, "Well, I'm getting money together to pay taxes. It's kind of like a bake sale or something." Given the fact that all of his business is on camera and recorded for the world to see, how would he deny that he has done multiple fundraisers to pay for business related taxes?

What is Fundraising?

Hmm, so is it illegal to run a fundraiser as an individual instead of charity groups in the United States? Why YES IT IS

Do you need to pay federal taxes to the IRS specifically for fundraising? YES YOU DO

Popquiz time! Can DSP run a fundraising event for himself in the State of Washington without getting approval of the State to begin with? NO HE FUCKING CANT

Question two. Does this mean DSP is in essence breaking the law in Washington by not going through the proper channels Locally and Federally and is an illegal Fundraiser Organization? YES HE IS

And folks, to sum this all up. It is possible that TwitchTv is responsible to insure that there Partnered Streamer is doing all of this prior to setting up a "fundraiser" examples of this are AGDQ events.

If someone were to say, file a complaint with washington state and the IRS we could potentially see one of the biggest DSP meltdowns ever to exist. Not saying you should do this but it is possible too.

Ok I'm gonna reply to this.

  • If Phil were raising money for medical issues and it turned out to be false, then that'd be something else.
  • If Phil were raising money on behalf of someone else, then that'd be something else.
  • If Phil were claiming to be a legally compliant fundraiser, then that'd be something else.

Coming out and saying "having a financial issue with xyz, plz help" is not inherently wrong and not something I can see a government giving a shit about.

95% of what happens on Gofundme fits pretty much the same definition.
No government is going to give a shit about this and if they do, its the lemonade stand version of charities.

That's right, its David vs Goliath shit.

I agree that its of public interest to see him prove his tax situation, but he's under no real obligation to do so.

Just because its called "fundraiser" does not mean its an actual fundraiser. Phil is not a non-profit organization or a political party and hasn't claimed to be one.

He is, when you file a partnership contract with Twittch TV you become an Independent contractor or a "Business" of sorts. In further it is your responsibility as a Affiliated/Partnered streamer when running any charities, fundraisers, etc. to follow in accordance with State and Federal Laws. Twitchtv does not monitor this and cite that they are in accordance with tthe State of California's Laws under this. This is my Partnered Contract in it's entirety, unless you are affilated or partnered, you would never ever see this fyi.
What it ultimately comes down to is he’s not having his “fundraiser” for charity. He’s never implied it’s for charity. He’s been clear that the money is for personal purposes which, as far as I can tell, is perfectly legal (sleazy, but legal).
If he were havin the fundraiser for charity, and let’s face it, Phil would never do that, then he would have to register with the state. But this is so the public can be assured that the money was going to the cause he is raising money for and not just lining his pockets.

Whether Phil is honest or not, I wouldn't want to live in a world where it was illegal to try and raise funds if you were in peril.

Go on Gofundme and see the amount of people that end up with some sort of shit luck in their life.

I seriously believe he told her to come live with him, saying you won't ever have to work, you can just sit around and play vidya games all day, every day, i'll just come up with a different scam every few months, and get my paypigs to pay for it all.
Thats Phil's upside. He said this is his girlfriend. My friends see my girlfriend...my family knows of my girlfriend; I dont post innocuous images of inanimate objects or food and caption then with "...my girlfriend made this meal" or "...my girlfriend is enjoying this movie." Sure, he can be as deceptive as he wants--heck, some adults in this thread can clamor onto Phil's shenanigans as truth or poo-poo his dishonest(taxes, debt issues, lag) as being "just the norm." but not me. Its not impossible to have pride and figure your financial situation out on your own--without a fundraiser or "I need your help" tactics. I also find it oddly closeted to brag about a soulmate and not introduce them, hell even a house pet crosses in the background of some twitch streamers. All we have to go on about their relationship, his debt, his health is what he says. When he's 40--when we're all close to 40--we're gonna look back on the time suck DSP was in our lives and how we didn't jump out the rabbit hole when we had the chance to.

Phil had nothing but fast food and Hungry Man dinners until a week ago. Now he has home cooked food; clear indicator he has someone living with him. The moment he's eating take out or those frozen dinners daily is the moment he's single.

I don't see weight to Where is (or No) Kat. He doesn't show her, but we see clear indicators of her presence.

Its not like everyone here is an SOK member where we are doing 7 hour podcasts a day. Almost nobody here watches his youtube videos. gives him money. watches his actual streams (most just watch his pre streams if anything) so most really dont have much invested in dsp to that level so there is no rabbit hole to jump out of

So is it next level Cuckholdry to pay to watch some other chick cook another man food? Cause I feel the sub goal of "watch my girlfriend cook me food" is really autistic.
It's just Phil failing, yet again, to understand why everyone loved the Cooking With The King series. I think that, to this day, he still thinks people watched it for instructional purposes.

Phil is doing his daily begging again

Mentioning that he will only do 1 stream for Mahnday and Toozday because he needs to work on his tax, then on Wayahnsday he will be doing the fundraiser charity event for himself......chat is getting annoyed

Is it me or is his tv slanted?

Phil is the slanted one. He loves Dutch angles.

"I'm trying to raise enough funds to be able to pay my federal taxes come April."
My god Phil is more sleazy than the carniest of carnies. Absolutely no shame. How are people supposed to be jealous of him again? Dude is no better than a welfare queen.

I seriously believe he told her to come live with him, saying you won't ever have to work, you can just sit around and play vidya games all day, every day, i'll just come up with a different scam every few months, and get my paypigs to pay for it all.

Yep. Kat doesn't have a job and won't be getting one. Phil's learned from the Leanna debacle. He, of course, lied about that, saying she did have a job and would immediately help him with the bills. Now he's coming up with every excuse in the book as to why she can't work, or even leave the house without him by her side. After this fundraiser he'll announce that Kat finally found a job and talk about how pahsitive everything is. I posted this prediction earlier in the thread, but I'll say again that in a few months the next big scam will be that Kat was fired/laid off from her non-existent job (the economy in the state of Washington sucks, dood!) and Phil has to do another fundraiser.

i will agree with you that people against Phil are not donating to him on his streams. I want to have faith in humanity that his "detractors" are not feeding him coins via bits to troll him. However, humanity has been known to disappoint. Expectations....they can ruin hope.

Counter-question: who of the YT-flock in possession of a sound mind would pay for (t)his shit?

Countet counter question: who of sound mind and body would (t)his shit on YouTube?

The point being that if he was as well known (50 million viewers per his post on the FGC forums) as he said, he sure a shit would have had a lot more active subs on his YouTube and Twitch channels.

I would like to see "Poorly Cleaning With the King". We've seen his cooking, what about his laundry ability? Does Phil know how to dust or vacuum? Does Phil know how to hand wash and wax his car? I want to see those sick painting a wall a single color skills.

This guy was in his 30's and thought the car dealership called would personally call him every time he needed an oil change. This guy was 35 when he learned how to wash his clothes. This guy pays for the most expensive internet he can get even though it won't work in his house. This guy needed his elderly dad to fly across the country to teach him how to work a paint roller and put a tarp on the floor.

His inability to accomplish minor household tasks would make for great comedy.

This requires getting off the couch so won't happen.

Brought up the guy saying Phil pulled a knife on someone in the FGC and got banned from all tournaments, how it's nahnsense and that he had many chances to fight these guys over the years but he's above violence over games and he always walked away. Right, that's what happened. Meanwhile a couple people in the chat typed Jahahaha during this and got banned within 10 seconds.

This is success? This is what people are jealous of? A grown man pleading for sheckles from random people across the world to help pay for his tax liability? The unmasked desperation in that tweet is what Burnell's detractors are trying longing to have for themselves?

. . .and the great thing, he couldn't even come up with a better name for it. So you have a terribly titled fundraiser, watching a man play a game he does not enjoy all so he can be forgiven for not managing his finances better. A "man's man" indeed.
