"I earned this house"
Nigga you took out a loan. You don't own it so you couldn't have earned it.

"I'm not gonna be buying this time because I don't have the credit"
Nigga that's not buying. That's taking out a fucking loan.

I've said it so many times, but this guy is the banks favorite kind of customer.

Not only that, if he's gonna bitch about people asking about his taxes, he should stop asking for help or prove his financial situation (at least to a neutral party)

maybe if he was born a little bit later he would've been inured to the weird american notion that at a certain age you Have to Buy a House

not that many people even really 'own' theirs, it's just this thing that you spend your life investing in that can be pulled out from you if you miss a payment. the poorer you are the more your wealth is tied directly to your home, for a lot of people it constitutes over half their total 'worth' and it was these people who got primely fucked by the '09 recession.

It's not like that all over the world. I have always wondered what impression Phil gives to his international fans about the good old US of A.

I was born in the US but haven't lived there since the dawn of time. In the real world, people live in goddamned flats and go to the park, rather than have their own little private McCastle & Keep with a quarter acre of land they literally do nothing with. I swear to god, Phil would last 5 minutes in a European city, not that he could find one. I have to walk to the supermarket. Phil would starve to death first. If he had to actually use a bus, he'd feel quite traumatized. 'Dood, some strange guy just SAT RIGHT NEXT TO ME. I was like, dood! That's GAY! SNORT. What the shit, man. Whatever!'

I'm the opposite, having been born outside the US but living here most of my life. the importance placed on owning a home is almost uniquely american, it has long since been set up as some kind of ideal. the 2009 recession was new in its span but black and latino communities had essentially been going through the same thing since the 90s through predatory lending. You keep telling people they Need a home and they buy homes from a bank that makes them think they can afford it and it was a bubble that was inevitably going to burst.

It's not the first and it's definitely not going to be the last, I wouldn't be surprised if the college debt bubble goes next because people need increasingly higher qualifications to get jobs with increasingly lower wages and absolutely no one will pay that shit off in a million years.

I doubt dsp gives a crap about the actual house, it's just a symbol of his Legacy and Success or whatever the crap, it's just what successful and happy people do. They don't rent, or live in a condo, they buy a fucking mcmansion. As stupid as he otherwise is i can't even really blame him for being indoctrinated so heavily into this frankly insane idea. in california there are sidewalks literally covered in shit because the homeless problem is so bad that people literally have nowhere to use a restroom, and yet there's a fucking preponderance of vacant houses that no one can afford to live in just laying around

He's better than the average gamer in his country and that's really sad.
It doesn't take much more than a little pattern recognition to manage that. And even then, the worst part about Phillip has never been his "gaming powers", but his horrible attitude. His attitude and ego, then, lead to him being tilted by even the slightest inconvenience and the only thing he can come up with to explain it away are lies and deflection.

Wow he literally laid out a years worth of fundraisers in advance. Taxes in April, June, September, and December. I'm not one of those people that get mad when Phil makes money, it is just bizarre how transparent this scam is and yet it will go off without a hitch.

If you knew someone who just moved their "soulmate" into their house and they came to you a week later saying they need a loan because they might lose said house you would either think they are lying or an idiot. That isn't even throwing in other variables like Phil having another house. Somehow the disconnect caused by a computer screen makes this all a totally normal situation, what a strange time we live in.

So just a little curious, what ever happened to Kat's job?
You know that job she had to drive 45 min for but now would end up living right next to.
Can't work because doesn't have drivers license.

Can't get license because of vague reasons. Said something like didn't have enough time to get everything done. Had time to take her to Claire's across from Leanna's work though.

Can't drive with her out of state license because when someone moves they lose all their car and health insurance.

Can't drive because has no health insurance and if she gets in an accident the ambulance won't take her to the hospital and doctors won't treat her.

So she will definitely start working probably sometime in March maybe. Phil still needs to spend time to show her how to navigate the city and obviously can't do that when he needs to stream.

Not to sound SJW but Phil comes across as a right sexist c^$@. Kat clearly has been on her own a while as in living independently at least since 21 and she seems to of moved multiple times like she went across cross state pretty easy. If the UBER job is true but doubt it then she knows how to navigate.

He comes across as legit petrified to let Kat have some unsupervised time because that is how Leanna met Tyrone or people. Guess what Phil you can't fucking Rapunzel people and expect either a) no resentment or b) any kind of kickback because that is how human cognition works WE CRAVE interaction because we are social creatures and multiple if not countless research studies prove that time spent isolated without proper human interaction makes you go insane and creates mental decay.

I find it incredibly abusive what he is doing to her and yes her will comes into the mix but in this period she is new to the area and seems awkward and Phail is clearly taking advantage of her situation. She is going to grow to outright hate him I recon, he is spending no day with her this week and we are only 2 weeks in people. Shit the degradation is happening already.

He already said on a stream that his dad has watched videos and laughed at the people that made detractors videos.

I don't believe this. He also said Patrick Klepek went through all the detractor's timelines, said they were demented thoughtstreams and asked if the kids are mentally ill when all Pat said was "I got a lot of responses when I tweeted you."
DSP's dad probably knows he does Lets Plays and doesn't care to find out more. If he cared enough about DSP to watch detractor videos and laugh at the people making them, he'd also care enough to talk to him more than the weekly scheduled phone call.

I wish Geoff The Hero was my son. And Reviewbrah, those kids are alright.

GeoffTheHero is every bit as autistic as Phil.

Anyone else found it ironic when Phil played DBFZ that he bitched relentlessly about how he can't break dragon rushes and it wouldn't work offline but at Winter Brawl last night one common theme of the tournament was almost everybody was getting opened up by dragon rush?

I didn't watch the entire tourney but I did see top 8. It wasn't used that much and the setups for Dragon Rush were very tricky and different from usual setups.

People usually go for Dragon Rush after having the opponent block an assist or after having them block an Instant Air Dash overhead.

Re: mrswagginz.

This person's a frequent donator, but not a big one. From February:
Code:
mrswagginz cheered [181] times totalling $57.90 (avg. cheer of $0.32; 2.32% of total)
And January:
Code:
mrswagginz cheered [208] times totalling $66.15 (avg. cheer of $0.32; 1.58% of total)

Don't have anything from November or December, so that's probably it. Seems to follow the mold of the fans not having a lot and giving it to someone who should have more than enough.

That's the reason why it is used sparingly. People aren't used to it yet and when they are trained to just block, they can't react when it does come out.

tbh, i doubt that's true
phil is willing to lie so easily to "get someone on his side"
remember the whole thing with patrick klepek?

Mrswagg has to be a troll. Just no way...
a normal person would be concerned about the kind of people he has around him, phil doesn't care, he wants money... then is shocked by the toxic and the stupid he surrounds himself

i doubt phil will ever fall, but it'll be hell one way or the other as he ends up as someone's dancing monkey

It is even stranger they don't see it when Phil flat out explained it to them, so Phil must give his fans as much credit as we do.
phil doesn't like his fans, he just tolerates them.
and this is why i don't get why anyone would be an unironic fan
it's why i'm convinced most of these people are fucked in the head or little children that don't know better

The fuck are you guys on about? Owning a home is literally cheaper than renting in the majority of the country.
