three days.
Drgn always struck me as "exceptional individual", turns out I was rightFFS. I always liked drgnkiller (anyone that watches DSP's stuff and gets the nuggets of internet weirdo gold so I don't have to is much appreciated). Why do they have to turn out to be nuggets themselves![]()
I haven't been a detractor long but did someone else make a Patreon under his name in 2014?
https://web.archive.org/web/20141226231700/http://www.patreon.com:80/DarksydePhil
His goals look like something he'd have right now.
Phil's former fans turned detractors are always way more a-loggy and vehement in their hate than his normal detractors. They feel like they have to "make up" for the sin of being Phil's fan and keeping him around, leading to things like the SoK making 8 hour long podcasts dedicated to examining every little thing Phil says and does. Phil Derangement Syndrome, i.e. :autism:, is very prevalent among them.
The recent scrutiny of his schedule reminded me what a mess his layout is. Lots of bold font, some bold underlined font, some !!!, paragraphs of text, etc. So being an internet weirdo I created how I would do it differently:
Are Phil's fans deaf?
Phil has a calming voice?
You mean "Ack ack ack ack ack ack *wet snorrrt* KAHNman doooood *BuuuuuuurP* Kuuusmeh

i fell asleep playing some tevin on my laptop and dreamt dsp made a video saying he had become a bodhisattva and there were tons of detractor videos of people combing through the tripitaka to prove that dsp could never actually reach a state of nirvana even through infinite reincarnationsI sometimes fall asleep while a This Is How You DON'T Play continues and it almost always results in some really weird fucked up dreams.
Oh look, you can actually see what he's doing during the week in just 2-3 seconds. Then again, where's your business degree? The recent scrutiny of his schedule reminded me what a mess his layout is. Lots of bold font, some bold underlined font, some !!!, paragraphs of text, etc. So being an internet weirdo I created how I would do it differently:
Wow the facade is already cracking. At this rate by tomorrow he will have "fundraiser" in all caps with three exclamation points as the title of his Twitch stream.Get in before too late for what? His patreon perks?
Like what? Get your e-name flashed in his WIPs that nobody watched and a premium title in a forum that has 4 active members?
Or its the vote for the 600 sub goal of patron's choice playthrough when his Sub count is below 430? And then he will makeup a reason to play the Number 2 or even number 3 game on the voting list?
This guy is delusional

"Incredibly important day"?
"Drive subs and tips goal"?
Does he really think he's gonna make that 550 lower end goal with 428 current subs and without the whales gifting subs?
He literally just trying to squeeze as much pity cash from his paypigs as possible at this momemt not even trying to hide it now............
This guy is such a garbage begger.....a shit person, a cancer of internet

It may be a bit of both because he did stuff like say he raised "thousands" and that kind of language. By doing a fundraiser and saying Bits are part of that fundraiser you're also implicitly using those bits in relation to "real world" money (i.e. paying taxes).
Twitch/Amazon don't want you to be thinking you're actually sending money because that attaches not only legal issues with the usage of bits but also gives a connotation to users that they're actually spending money.
So if you say you want to buy something in the real world with the proceeds of bits and ask for them to buy that thing, you're giving people the impression that this "imaginary money" has real-world value:

The simple interpretation of it is that using them for "financial support" is against the rules, but using them in any capacity to relate to "real world" money or provide any tangible "value" is something Amazon and Twitch do not want users to do.
Its a bit similar to the current issues around lootbox gambling. Once you start a "market" and your "videogame money" becomes "real world money" you will get anally probed by every government in every country on earth. Its simply not something that is possible to do (at least not for Amazon to do)
So:
- You can't ask for Bits for financial support
- You can't directly give bits a financial value
- You can't (after the fact) say that the bits you received helped to pay for something
- You can't provide any form of value for bits received in the form of "content" besides reading people's messages.
you know, it may just be a me thing but a part of me twinges when i see the way he formats his schedules. The recent scrutiny of his schedule reminded me what a mess his layout is. Lots of bold font, some bold underlined font, some !!!, paragraphs of text, etc. So being an internet weirdo I created how I would do it differently:
Well, he is known for his grasp of subtlety, so I am sure it will be fine.i think he's given himself a pretty fine line to tread and it should be a matter of time before he fucks up again.
