You pay 5 dollars on patreon too and you can vote.

Someone told him you can make subscribers vote, he is like... NO ONE TOLD ME. NO ONE EXPLAINED IT TO ME. SOMEONE TELL ME ON EMAIL HOW TO DO.

♪ beginners trap, beginners trap. this is a fuck-ing beginners trap. fuck the devs, all idiots. this is just a beginners trap ♪

All the employer would have to do is google his name and realize what a shitlord he is. This would be a huge barrier to anyone.

"Celebrities" do silly stuff all the time. Mel Gibson for example; he's managed to come back from the brink and get another OSCAR nomination. Why? Because, while being a generally unpleasant guy and possible racist, one can point to a pretty large body of work and he (at least in public) has been willing to take his lumps. As an employer, I'd be fine hiring the guy because "there is a body of evidence suggesting he has changed."

Phil? Phil is dug in. And so any attempt to leverage his "media" experience would fall on deaf ears because we can easily see that "no, he hasn't rehabilitated himself, and his work has clearly suffered for it."

As an aside, what is up with this hedgehog background?

Yeah, I agree. Plus, Phil's body of work is mostly pointing a camcorder at his tv and filming himself eating fast food.

Someone asked what Kat was cooking tonight; they were planning on eating that leftover Seafood Chowder, but week old seafood may not be such a good idea, so Phil's probably just gonna head out and pick up takeout. Can't pay his bills though.
The chowder must not have been that good if Phil didn't immediately devour it all, unlike those enchiladas which there are no leftovers of.
Kat is basically cooking at a rate of 1 meal (not including dessert) per week
- arrived on Feb 12
- Feb 16: brisket sliders and macaroni
- Feb 25: chowder
- Feb 27: enchiladas
- and nothing since then; 3 AUTHENTIC, HOMECOOKED meals in 18 days

Phil whenever they inevitably break up, "Kat didn't cook for me every day like she said she would *snort*. That was part of the terms of her living here and she reneged on it! I could have sued her because that's against the law, okay. But, you know, I can't afford the lawyer. She also left a bunch of her crap in the room that I have to throw away. Stoopid bitch, dood...... Someone in stream chat just said it's not illegal for Kat to not cook for me every day. WRONG! Maybe when you're a mature adult like me you'll understand how relationships work. You know what, you're banned for that troll comment. Goodbye, moron."

You forgot to mention Leanna every other sentence. Can't talk about Kat without soap girl.

Phil thinks, and seems to have done so for a while now, that saying 'I hope we get more subs' is the same thing as taking an action to get more subs. His whole business model, which, clearly 'works' as he sure ain't going hungry, is to kind of hope. Just, kinda say, 'I hope I get more views.'

I agree. The things he says regarding subs are so oddly fascinating. For example:

"Alright guys, we gotta seriously start do something about the subs. The subs are seriously dipping like crazy. We gotta do something. We are way far away from our goal."

Who is this directed toward? If I'm checking out his stream for the first time, that quote is just going to baffle me. I don't even know if I like this stream yet and he's trying to stress me about subscribing? And if I'm a current fan, then I'm probably already a subscriber. What does he expect me to do to get him more subs? He's the one producing the service, not me.

Maybe he expects his current subscribers to continually gift subs month after month. It does nothing towards his goal of "growth" because the gift subs are artificial growth: one-time hits being given to chat trolls and nightbot by exasperated fans. Those recipients are not going to legitimately subscribe after their gift subs expire.

And I think his sub earnings are split 50/50 with Twitch, whereas I'm pretty sure his Patreon split is much more in his favor. He's asking his fans to do more work so he can receive less money. That is so mindbogglingly stupid it bears repeating:

He's asking his fans to do more work so he can receive less money.

Since his 500 sub goal is patrons choice playthrough, how does he decide who gets to vote? Are the donors from patreon also included or are they not since they may have pledged but didn't sub

Yeah I think no one is falling for Patreon choice anytime soon.

The "Rage-a-thon" is going to be dead on arrival. Legit. Nobody wants to see Phil pretend to get mad and put on a show for the camera. Because he's a fucking awful actor, and looks like a clown when he does it. Compare his reactions in any Souls game. It's incredibly easy to tell which of his angry moments are genuine, and which are fake/done for the camera. Fake rage Phil is just awkward and cringeworthy.

And as said, the very notion that Phil thinks people are going to pay for him to act out raging at a game, when he does it normally for free, is asinine.

You know what's worse than acting out rage? Acting out finding a secret passageway in Dark Souls, pretending you're checking a chest for mimics - over and over until you "accidentally" hit the wall. "I'm a BIG BOY!"

There's ego, and then there's acting in a way that should be classified as a terminal mental illness.

I'm going to assume folks are listening to his stream and that this "Rage-A-Thon" is a real thing but. . .my god. The balls to even put "A-Thon" in there after literally just doing a Beg-A-Thon in the middle of the week.

. . .and I honestly think the man doesn't read these forums, or at least only reads the overly negative stuff (or his spies don't actually communicate anything positive to him) because people have given a TON of good advice/streaming improvements that he could do, and he's just continuously going back to the well. I mean does anyone really want to see him start out with the fake "Waaaaaaaaahhhh. . ." he does to the eventual "This game sucks! What were the developers thinking! Fucking assholes!" I mean seriously. His creativity level is somewhere between a pet-rock and Chuck Lorre.
