I would say populism was very much embraced by the left right up until the very moment someone used the word against Trump as an insult. For decades and decades the left and their Democrat overlords have carried the "we the people" banner of being for the little guy and the everyman against the evil corporatist fatcats who run the right without listening to what the people want or need.

They're so lunkheaded they now seem to think that "populism" is bad specifically because it means listening to the people - and now that Trump has used it, well I guess suddenly the little people are inhuman monsters who don't deserve attention or franchise, funny how quickly that all changed.

The term you're looking for is Neo-liberalism. Thanks to a man named Bill Clinton, who you might have heard of him, now Multibillion Dollar Global Corporations can be "Progressive" too!
Although I've always been Right Wing even I will admit that Left Wing politics had some worth before then.

The thing was, the game wasn't actually problematic at all. Aside from some thing about seducing women that barely anyone would care about anyway, the only political incorrectness was the lack of horribly lost Africans wandering around mediaeval Europe a huge distance inland, whom no one sensible would expect to see anyway. The main issue seemed to be that the developer was a shitlord, which means they care more about his politics than the game itself. Most people buying the game don't know anything about Vavra himself.

Yeah I wouldn't say that's problematic as much as it's just underdeveloped because of lack of investment in that area. It seems quite a number of players are a bit disappointed you can only one-and-done with the romance options, especially with the girl from your own village. It's a bit weird she acts like a total stranger and won't talk to you after you sleep with her. But then again maybe Vavra designed it like that to add realism for the socjus crowd.

Hitler actually believed Soviet betrayal was imminent and acted on that belief, despite being told by his closest advisors that this just wasn't true. It wasn't. It's pretty likely the Soviets would have eventually violated the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, but at least at the time the Nazis opened that front, the Russians were actually acting in good faith. This is why this was the most colossal strategic blunder of all time.

I believe my comment was something along the lines of "Plenty of women enjoy things like Twilight and Fifty Shades of Grey. I'm sure they can handle a little cleavage in our entertainment." Obviously I could have worded it better, but I had a good laugh when I saw the reason I was banned as I've always been extremely supportive of women in gaming. The fact that they knew I was just kidding around shows just how extreme they are.
