Honestly it reads to me like Hassan is on thin ice for something ancillary to Phil and sperged out just so someone higher on the food chain didn’t rip his shit.

Edit: almost like he’s made similar comments to other streamers and got heat. Now he’s always gonna get the finger pointed at him.

No it reads to me that by being a Twitch global mod/Twitch partnership manager he will always be hated whether the reasons are legitimate or not.

To be fair, the way Hassan responded does lend credibility to the claim that he's DSP's contact.

View attachment 392955
  • Immediately appeals to emotion: This is honestly sad.
  • Defends himself against accusations no one made that he "condoned" something
  • Uses scare quotes (imagine DSP squinting and feigning ignorance while saying what's in quotes): I'm not his "twitch contact"
  • Appeals to emotion again: what the heck?
  • Demands undeniable proof the theory is correct

8 minutes later:
  • Has not responded to anyone else regarding this, yet feels the need to get back on the podium
  • Immediately employs an escape hatch (e.g. prove my point for me, I don't have to!): do some research
  • Continues building the escape hatch (e.g. prove my point for me, I don't have to!): think of all the other possibilities out there
  • Claims this someone gave him a link to web forum. The read indicator demonstrates this is the end of the DMs he had with this someone. He's proving one thing (he was asked about DSP) while lying about another (he was linked to a forum by the same person.)
View attachment 392957
  • Claims he told this someone to use the report feature when in fact he did not continue the conversation and did not say this, digging this lie deeper
  • Claims he doesn't get involved in moderation, despite previously claiming he went to DSP's stream in response to a forum posting crap about DSP
    • either he wanted to laugh at a lolcow, and don't we all, or he was going to DSP's stream to see if he needed to get involved in moderating DSP
View attachment 392958
  • Broadly defines anyone associated with this theory as "group of friends" to reduce both the credibility of the theory and people who support it
  • Broad, sweeping statements to distance himself
    • "I don't know who told him that"
    • "I don't know what he's even talking about"
View attachment 392959
  • Asks a question he knows the answer to
  • Vomits some philosophical-sounding nonsense
  • Returns to defending himself against non-existent accusations of him "condoning" something
    • Attempts to claim being in DSP's stream wasn't significant by claiming it was just "for one moment"
  • Appeals to emotion again: "that is just silly"
Then he runs away never to be heard from again after spending 20 minutes of his lifeclock on this.

Frankly I think it's more believable that he is familiar with DSP and the forum he mentioned from before this incident and has more involved in policing DSP than he wants to admit. I wouldn't want to be known as the guy who wrangles DSP or supervises those who do either. I'd be effectively telling everyone "I'm a failure at my job" or "Yes, my employer is fine with everything DSP has done that it has recieved complaints regarding."

This is possibly the next saga of DSP if people keep slapfighting Hassan here. Let me explain.

If the Twitch rep Hassan is being truthful and getting his dick slammed into the dirt because of DSPs loud mouth, it is possible that Hassan will now have a reason to be angry at Phil.

Because DSP decided to state he has a "Twitch Contact" implying he has a Twitch staffer on the Take, he has put Hassan here in the line of fire. There is no logical reasoning behind Hassan wanting to defend Phil's "Honor" here and he has repeatedly continue to state he has no idea why DSP claimed this and denies the statements.

If People keep pushing Hassan, he will most likely be pissed enough to make DSP responsible for lying and slandering the Company he is Partnered with. Understand its pretty fucking serious to openly tell your viewers that you have a Admin in your Pockets. Especially when you possibly dont. Its even worse when you claim that TwitchTv representatives call there customers "idiots" behind there backs and think they are better then there customers. Phil is so fucking dumb that he possibly couldnhave prolonged consequences by possibly lying and slandering about Twitch and its staff.

Cant wait to watch this blowup

Yeah but that relies on the same thinking that Leanna is going to come out of the shadows to dish all the dirt on DSP after all these years. Hassan, like most, probably doesn't give a shit. He probably put in the minimal amount of effort or at least spent some time with DSP to make sure he understood the rules better, DSP probably took this as meaning they were best friends, and now Hassan probably won't bother to spend time explaining shit to him again.

Judging from Hassan's twitter history this isn't the first drama he's been somehow involved/drawn into, so I doubt its going to matter much.

People are rarely as vindictive as people would like to think.

DSP will put on his "good boy" attitude for all of a few days and then break the rules again.

Right now there are 17 channels streaming Secret of Mana, and a total of 379 people watching.

Yesterday (Tuesday, early afternoon), at the beginning of his stream, Phil had around 1000 viewers. Chances are that a Twitch employee saw the numbers, found it odd and decided to check in to see if everything was kosher - like checking for bots.

Doubtful. They're not going to give him shit about viewbots because its obviously not him doing it at this stage and the most likely explanation is that its someone trying to get him banned.

He pretty much got banned for misuse of bits.

Sorry, I didn't explain myself properly.

What I meant by that was that it's possible the reason a Twitch employee was viewing/checking his stream because of the numbers. I didn't mean to imply that Phil was using bots.

To be honest I'd act the same way as Hassan if like 25 or something strangers started DMing me saying shit like "HOW DARE YOU COVER FOR DSP I'M GONNA MAKE SURE YOU LOSE YOUR JOB." and you're like "Who the fuck is DSP?" because you deal with 40+ people on the daily regarding suspensions and such. I'd also be like "What the fuck is going on? Can you all fuck off."

It's pretty clear what actually happened, I mean its possible that it went another direction but I think it was just Hassan was his assigned community rep or whatever after the suspension. Hassan tells him he's unbanned and tells him he can't fundraise and use words like that and DSP asks what words he can use, they have a dialogue about whats allowed whats not. DSP is like MUH DETRACTORS SENDING FALSE REPORTS and then Hassan was like "Don't worry we'll ignore any clearly false reports at this point or check on them ourselves." Then he goes to check on DSP after getting reports then all of a sudden gets bombarded with tweets and DMs threatening to get him fired from Twitch and asking about inside info on DSP and accusing him of corruption. I think he reacted in a pretty understandable way which was to tell them all to fuck off and stop spamming him about a dude he's had around two interactions with for no more than two minutes each.

That to DSP is a "Twitch contact" going by his past stuff of having a "Laveria contact" and "Machinima contact" it's just dude who e-mails him. He used to always complain about his Machinima contacts always changing because he just got a new community guy every e-mail as thats how it works. "I HAD SO MANY DIFFERENT CONTACTS AT MACHINIMA DOOD" nah you had different community members for whoever picked up your help ticket,

It would be absolutely hilarious if it's DSP's paypigs who get him banned from Twitch rather than his impotent A-Logs.

Oh of course. Doesn’t mean [Hassan] can’t tell the truth from time to time though.

Naaah~ this is only partial true. Here is the thing: Twitch's business is only Twitch's business. Nobody has the right to be informed about internal communications. These are privat informations and if they're published it creates a bunch of problems:

(1) Breaking rules by giving out informations - Could lose his position at Twitch

(2) Make himself the target of lunatics each time Phil does something, even if the internal handling doesn't work this way (which it surely doesn't. There exists a report-button)

(3) Negative exposure for Twitch

(4) Too much informations about how something works can be dangerous for a solid system. People often seek for gaps in rules so this creates mechanical behaviours in streamers (which is not very funny on a website where people should have fun), behaviours of streamers which are hard on the edge of allowance and it drives people to report streamers who behave absolutely fine BUT the "reporters" think they found a rule breaker. Some people think they have enough informations and act like pseudo-mods, because these people exist. That's why Twitch has the first and also the last saying.

There is however one thing he really fucked up, imo:
He couldn't shut his mouth, too much emotions involved. This was not very professional.

He should have just said:
"Dear customers, thanks for sending your worries about DarkSydePhil. However, we can't give you further informations and would recommend to use the report-button on our website if you have legitimate concerns about said Twitch-streamer."

DONE and no further communication. Don't feed the trolls, is the old saying. The truth doesn't mean you have to give people all informations they want. Silence is absolutely legitimate.

Edit: It doesn't matter if he is in fact the real contact. People don't know that until he says so or factual prove is given. Subjective speculations and twist his saying does nothing but fuel the autistic fire. In the end every word can be twisted if someone really wants to, and this is not helpful.

This could apply to nearly every thread on this subforum. I also agree with the rest of your post with the caveat that twitch staff aren’t going to be professional until amazon commissars a few publicly to make examples.

Lol so someone just sent me discord messages claiming that Fred Fuchs is going to be doing a Stream on this entire event this month @neger psykolog I do not believe this shit at all but the person claims to be in contact with Fred via playstation(they play games together). first of all I don't believe it or really think its going to be that important besides causing a minor autism storm

secondly, since we're talking about dsp:
which event?

Kat video. The guy claims they will be doing a "Lets Endure" on the Kat video in question. Pausing it and giving there take. He claims he knows this because they "did a watchtogether last night over it and fred seemed ready to get back on the horse".

There words not mine. Again, I think this is just retarded and someone having fun and dont buy it but I thought id share it with everyone else just in case Freddy boy makes a comeback

Well the same thing has been claimed/speculated about a thousand times already.

Besides, Fred imho gained notoriety because there weren't many "dedicated" dsp video makers. Now there are quite a lot more and idk if the appeal for 7 hour podcasts was even that large to begin with, I never watched them but I'm inclined to believe that the attention given to the downfall was bigger than the majority of their podcasts.

SoK pretty regularly hit more viewers than Phil whenever they streamed a Let's Endure. Usually while DSP was streaming.

It was fun enough and most of their podcasts where in the 1-3 hour range. The only one that went super long was Laveria because they actually got interviews and such.

Besides Fred apparently being a shady fuckboy in private, the content was amusing.

It helped they only did podcasts when something new happened, so it wasn't a regular thing. Something like this video would make a decent episode.

Different strokes for different folks, but the SoK filled a nice niche.

At the end of the SoK they were pulling around 1200 active viewers a stream. Pretty big size.

Im not sure if this guy is legit or not. Take it as more :autism: to add to the DSPosphere but thats what I was told this morning. If he does come back itll be interesting to see how he fairs
