It really pisses me off that women aren't supposed to complain about periods because trans women think they wish they could have them. Some women have easy periods but some have horrible periods with excruciating cramps, and it is just so absurd that someone who has never had one thinks they can tell women not to talk about theirs.
At least "don't complain about your period because I can't have one" still acknowledges biological reality.
Some trans women
think they do get periods. They cite abdominal cramps as evidence but seem not to realize that in women period cramps are from the
uterus, so it is physically impossible for trans women to have the same type of cramps. Other explanations I've seen for why they have periods is that sometimes they like to cry and eat chocolate, which is also not a period is and is just based on stereotypes they've heard.
