I'm not sure the analogy holds up.

"Crowther died of heart failure on March 7, 1981 in Mount Kisco, New York..."

That part sounds right.

"He was survived by his wife Florence; a sister, Nancy Crowther Kappes; three sons, F. Bosley, John, and Jefferson; and four grandchildren."

Never mind.
"He eventually wrote three negative reviews and periodically blasted the movie in reviews of other films and in a letters column response to unhappy Times readers. The New York Times replaced Crowther as its primary film critic in early 1968, and some observers speculated that his persistent attacks on Bonnie and Clyde had shown him to be out of touch with current cinema and weighed heavily in his removal."

Sound familiar?

Actually what really struck me was how he couldn't shut up about Bonnie & Clyde to the point it's probably one of the reasons the Times fired him.

Well, that sounds like it could go horribly wrong.

Well, yeah, that's the point I'm trying to make.

Many thanks to dear leader for going above and beyond and adding my post in as the actual OP. And once again, I'd like to give thanks to @TheImportantFart, @Sexy Times Hitler, and @Jaimas for their valuable contributions to the creation of this new OP, If anyone needs to have any info added to it, let me know via PMs, just try to have as good documentation as you can.

Now the next mission is to thoroughly update Bob's Lolcow Wiki page, that one will obviously have more of a "Just the facts, Ma'am" vibe to it, but I have faith in Bob's re.tardation being funny on its own with no added humor on our parts. I will make a post here when it's done.
You guys have done others a favor. If Bob makes national headlines for a scandal, this would be the best information people can use when reporting on him.

The poor family members who have to deal with him day in and day out?

Bob's the definition of a guy who can dish it, yet is wholly incapable of taking it. Him being a critic is really just icing on the irony cake.

It's well documented that Bob never matured outside of 15. The fact he choose one of the most hard hitting careers someone can take since IT'S IN THE FUCKING TITLE is absolutely hillarious to me.

I especially find his hate-boner for the X-Men films ironic because Bryan Singer is gay and he inserted a lot of allegories for LGBT struggles for equality into those movies. Not very dudebro if you ask me.

Because Bob doesn't do research. Despite Logan being a superhero flick mixed with a western. He refuses to address it as such because it doesn't fit the mold of the "Goodie two shoes. Good vs Evil." mold that the MCU has placed over Bob. His hatred toward TDK because it became mainstream is one of the most dishonest things I heard someone said.

Doesn't help at all that he flip-flops from opinions like a grasshopper, and doesn't give a explanation about it. He's unable to have a honest to god friendship because he's a disingenuous piece of shit that can't look at others in the same level as he does. He EXPECTS to no be questioned.

The most disturbing things about some SJWs like Bob is how transactional their relationships seem to be.

"How can this person benefit ME and MY needs?"
"Ooh. A friend of mine did something that was slightly controversial. Could I profit by throwing him under the bus and accusing him of wrongthink?"
"How many Virtue Points could I score by becoming an activist for THIS issue?"
"If I become friends with this person, they might be able to help me network with more useful people..."

Not that we don't all do this to an extent in our lives, but most of us don't keep a running tally in our heads of the potential profitability of every person and group that we meet. Some of us just hook up with people because we like them and because we're capable of looking past some of their faults (also because hey, we have faults too that they're probably looking past for us.)

I guarantee that Bob has never had a genuine emotional connection with another human being (apart from some members of his family who aren't grandmas.) And that's kind of sad.

Also, Crowther actually had a job.

Well alot of the transactional viewpoint that Bob has can be attributed to his Objectivist outlook on life which is so bizarre considering he despises all forms of Libertarism. Considering "allies" and other social justice folks like that, they do have a rather cynical to people and the outlook to life seeing people only to benefit from either monetarily or from socially and quick to throw them away if their perceived usefulness has expired. It should also be noted that Bob is very socially maladjusted with probably not having a single true close friend or co-worker aside from his brother and would probably not get any real friends if he tried due to his abrasive nature.

To some degree this is where I would deeply pity Bob if he weren't such an asshole to deserve the isolated hell he himself created.

Hey, who needs friends when you've got a caustic, ultra-toxic Twitter feed, amirite?

Hey how come Tweets from liberals tend to get more likes than those from conservatives, is it because of Twitter having a left-wing bias or are they using emotional appeal to get attention?

If you want to know what I’m talking about, look up a tweet from a guy called Shomeo, who lies that the 22nd amendment would allow Joe Biden to pick Obama as VP.

Actually, he's not lying. He totally could. The text says elected as President. I don't think there are any restrictions on Vice President. Now if Biden was found unfit to serve, I keep getting a nose bleed every time I try to sort it out. But I'm almost positive, the way that amendment is worded, nothing stops Biden from dying the day after he takes office, and Obama becomes president for another 4 years. Or shit Biden resigning.

But he won't do it. Because American law is really flimsy and easily loop holed. That's why we're a republic. We ideally elect people we think who will hold up the intention. It's why this administration is such a fucking nightmare. To bring this back on topic. Bob and his ilk can call him Hitler and Racist and misogynist. And I mean two outta three ain't bad. But why intelligent people dislike him is because he's going to cause a constitutional crisis. It's not that he just isn't presidential. He doesn't understand what that seat means for generations. And to illustrate that I'm not being silly. Lincoln suspending habeas corpus in war time is enough justification for us to let Presidents get away with all kinds of shit during war time.

And to clarify, I mean intelligent people who dislike trump. Not that people who like him are unintelligent.

How would you guys rank the oddities in Bob's ideal "Superior Future"? For me, the strangest is a toss-up between a corporate world government and his idea that no borders would mean we'll create an intellectual elite instead of being the perfect breeding ground for wannabe-tyrants with many of the traits he despises. The mechanization stuff would be at the bottom of my list since it comes off as mostly generic stuff you'd hear from people who think of technology like it's magic.

The bizarre fixation on needing to terraform the Moon has got to be the weirdest oddity. Not terraform other planets and expand, but specifically we have to terraform the moon. Most of the space exploration futurists I know are all about getting us to Mars, or Europa, or any of the other number of places vastly more plausible for human survival and potential terraforming than the moon, which is essentially a really big asteroid with next to zero useful resources or geographical elements that would make for a good colony.

Even Star Trek, the universe his whole SUPERIOR FUTURE fantasy probably came from, has the moon as an isolated domed base instead of terraformed. I have no idea why he thinks trying to change the moon into Earth's breadbasket is a good use of anyone's time and energy.

Acccckkkssshullay....

It's pretty cut and dried. The 22nd Amendment term limits the President; the 12th Amendment bars anyone from running for Vice-President if they're ineligible to serve as President. The niggle is that the 22nd specifically says no one shall be elected to more than two terms as President, so there are some clever assholes who think that means if you ascend to the office in some other way then that's hunky dory. I really can't imagine that surviving any kind of court challenge, especially in a situation where, say, Biden runs with Obama as VP and announces his intent to step down in six months or whatever.

But then I would fall on that line because I never want to see that bastard with his feet on the Resolute again.

I believe it is because Bob is an autist and either thinks too small or believes terraforming the moon will serve as a great Agri-world even though the costs alone of shipping the damn food would make it far more cost effective to grow the damn stuff on Earth like a normal person. Though along with mass immigration, open borders, mass entitlement programs, eugenicist ideals, corporate worship, hatred of religion, Objectivism, and die hard party loyalty would make one nightmarish of a dystopian world.

I loved reading the new OP. Really funny, and a great breakdown of how Bob became a lolcow.

Conveniently, it answers all the questions everyone and even myself ask as to why I used to respect and hold dear to him at one point.

The thing was, I only followed him from 2009-2012. The phase in which I got interested in his content had passed.

The very same video about building a better gamer was the final Overthinker video I saw. I paid attention to what he said, and started eating less junk food, and working out. You can be a nerd and not a couch potato.

I listened to him, but he didn't listen to himself.

Its why I am ashamed of him so much, and how much of a letdown it was that he became this way.

(in all actuality, this whole thing really is a sham, but I did eagerly wait for the next Game Overthinker during that time.)

God fucking dammit. I knew there was a reason it wouldn't work. But I thought it was in the 22nd. And then it wasn't and I was like wait a goddamn second, could it work?

My bad. And no, I don't ever expect them to fucking try. Even if the 12th amendment didn't say. Because you're right. It would cause a legendary shit fit.

But fuck you anyway for the neck beard "acksujaly" thing. It was more of a "wait a goddamn second?" Actually. Like that bit in the Simpson's when Wiggum and Quimby read the old town charter.

When you mean bastard, who are you referring to? Bob, Obama, or Biden?

Given the clusterfuck we’re in right, does anyone, say for millennial teens on hipster welfare and bitch about Republicans and Trump on Twitter, want to have Obama or anyone in the White House again? Cause I feel like all that shit that happened under Obama got us here.

Moviebob's obsession with HRC finally makes sense to me.

She's his mommy figure. A powerful woman who will shower him in gibs, censor his internet so he never has to see hurtful material, spy on him for his own safety, and keep him in Marvel capeshit until his heart finishes what his diabetes started.
