Short answer: Bob is poor and pretty much useless. That said, it is amusing how he assumes that Globalism is anti-authoritarian in nature. Take a look at the "Social Credit" program China is implementing on May 1. The long and short of it is that the Chinese government will restrict its own citizens who committed "social misdeeds" from travelling by air or train. Given how broad the term is, "social misdeeds" can cover political dissent against the ruling class or even associating with the "wrong" people and how long will it be before bad social credit affects a person's employment prospects, or even causes family and friends to shun them lest their social credit suffers from their association with them?

Given how many of the left-leaning governments in Europe are openly threatening social media giants like Facebook and Twitter with massive fines, I imagine that there are sympathetic ears for China's Social Credit program in the "globally-minded" Western political elite. This is something Bob simply does not have the cognitive ability to process: if a government uses threats of restricting its citizens' rights to ensure their cooperation, then it is tyranny. The purpose of globalism (as I see it) it to concentrate political power in fewer and few hands until what we have is effectively a corporate oligarchy.

Granted, Bob is so egocentric that he does not give a fuck about the consequences as long as he has his McDonalds and his two to three Marvel films. If anything, I think the prospect of a Social Credit would excite him because it would put the "obsoletes" in their place and hopefully game the system for his benefit. Yet he will remain blissfully ignorant of the fact that the system could easily turn against him.
