What's especially fun to watch is when Isaac supporters play mental gymnastic over why he isn't even an AT in Smash 3DS & Wii U. Many of them swore up and down that it was leading towards a DLC confirmation which to anyone with a half a brain knew Golden Sun didn't get squat outside a couple of music because it's dead.

It's almost as if Smash Bros is also used to advertise Nintendo's products.

Golden Sun is your everyday RPG franchise that only got sequels because the GBA didn't have a fuckton of them like the DS and 3DS and being released near launch when there's nothing else to buy. When Dark Dawn actually had to compete with other RPGs, it tanked so Nintendo told Camelot to pull the plug and become a Mario Tennis and Golf factory or they can fuck off.

Yet people think Isaac is entitled to a slot, as if adding him in is going to bring tons of customers groveling their feet for the next Smash. Anyone who genuinely thinks that Smash needs a niche RPG characters, or anyone who's not a newcomer in Smash yet, deserves mockery for thinking Smash revolves around their favorite characters.

If you're gonna add RPG characters to Smash you might as well bring in well-loved or important ones like Crono or Clou... oh, right.

I think the only character that doesn't fall under the advertisement/significant to Nintendo's history are the Ice Climbers, and even then, they were picked to represented the NES/Famicom era (a very significant time for Nintendo) because they had more potential as fighters than the other choice (for those wondering, Sakurai picked IC over Excitebike, Clu Clu Land, Balloon Fight, and Urban Champion).
I would say these clowns need to actually consider what goes into making a fighter work, but that would require them to look beyond their circlejerking opinions.

The same thing goes for people that want Ridley, K. Rool, Waluigi, Krystal, Bandanna Waddle Dee, whatever their shitty Fire Emblem waifu is, and Geno.

Was it Tingle who caused the massive autism storm from being in a gameplay clip for 2 seconds, leading people to go apeshit about him being playable even though there was no health indicator for him?

I would pay DLC to play as Tingle to cause autistic tantrums with the Star Fox/Fire Emblem players.

Maybe Star Man from Pro Wrestling? That way they can get all spergy about there being a Star Man and a Starman.

Still hoping for Lolo due to his 10+ year HAL heritage, and also because I can’t see him functioning as anything but an area denial/item-spawner character based on how his series works. Item spergs already go nuts about wario’s bike and peach’s vegetables, imagine how much salt would come from a character built entirely around that sort of thing.

IIRC, several spergs hated Bayonetta because they think Smash Bros. should only have kid friendly characters (conveniently forgetting about Solid Snake's appearance in Brawl)
If only Rare was still with Nintendo, then they could've put in Conker the Squirrel to really trigger these autists.
