If Adult Swim history has proven, it's that you should never underestimate just how petty Mike Lazlo can get.

I think what Harmon's saying is that the network has yet to ask anyone to produce more Rick and Morty material so he's not writing it yet. There's no way they're canceling a series like this, especially given how the last season ended with them pretty explicitly confirming season 4.

Dan's said like 400 things that made it sound like R&M was either canceled or that he was no longer working on it, he knows exactly what he's doing. If he tweets dumb shit like this, R&M fans are gonna flock to AS's Twitter angry and he'll have leverage since he can point at that and be like "the people want more".

That's what I think too. Looking at how Roiland handles social media vs. Harmon is like night and day, Roiland will pepper spray Joey Salads in the face for charity whereas Harmon will block the people doing the event. I can't imagine any way in which he's not some degree of a liability for [as], and I think he knows that, hence why he pushes so hard.

Agreed. I could totally see Harmon doing this passive-aggressive goading about R&M being cancelled, and then Lazlo goes and actually does it. Given some of the stories about how Lazlo runs AS, and how he's burned bridges with a few people (like Derek Smalls) and has brazenly trolled people (especially during the whole 'AS doesn't have any women producing/starring in shows, where he openly stated he knew about this and gave zero fucks about filling diversity quotas)... I wouldn't put it past him to call Harmon's bluff.
