It must be said ever since Dan Slott abandoned twitter his work product has actually improved drastically. Which is kind of good to see. In spite of his inane politics Slott was always a talented writer, when he wasn't too busy throwing rocks at fans to actually think about stories.

I consider myself pretty well read, so it's a little embarrassing to admit this, but the first place I learned the proverb that goes something like 'a man who thinks he does good will commit any kind of evil' (I know I've butchered it, but that's the gist) was in a comic. The older generations of comic book writers were often pretty clever, which is another reason this current crop are so depressing.
