TBH, those are actually decently cheap. Most fursuit makers charge $3000-$3500+ for the same thing that this chart prices at $2700.
Though, it is ridiculous that a "cheap" fursuit cost about twice as much as what I paid for my car. And let's not forget how much that these furfags waste going to cons: traveling, food, and paying for hotel rooms.
You either have to be rich or be extremely fiscally irresponsible to be a furry.

Ive seen them post shit saying they dodged paying their rent that month so they can go to there con....then beg for money and help because now there going to get kicked out.
I dont get how a costume/con is more important than food but, I keep forgetting were talking about the best and brightest of humanity here.

It's kind of like good quality fabric, good quality fur isn't cheap. And with how much they use on these damn suits, you're looking at a good chunk of change being just due to how much the fur itself costs. But that's assuming they're using the nice shit which half of these people don't seem to be doing.
Otherwise it's due to the time and effort that go into these things. Mind, that's how people that make costumes are, I don't know how long or hard making a good fursuit is.
