Also it seems kind of bizarre she received you got pussy cancer news on the weekend. But Rebecca is lying liar that lies.

You can get test results on the weekend... if they are sent by mail. Which they often do if the result doesn't indicate something urgent. Recently I had some blood tests done where they said that they'd call if the results indicated a problem but send mail if the results were fine. Obviously Becky's doctor doesn't think that the results were cause for concern, but she's not going to let that stop her when there are asspats to be had.

I called it last week when she just got past the "yay attention!" buzz of telling everyone that Daniel was in the hospital and started sulking about how nobody else did nice things for her while sick.

I could sense she was a day or two away from finding a way to out-oppression or shame him for daring to be sick and getting help and support for it. That said, I thought she'd just do what she usually does and moan on about how inconsiderate he is about minorities needing care and support, I didn't think she'd actually upgrade to "cancer scare", but it makes sense that she would. Partner getting all the asspats for being unwell enough to need a hospital visit? Autism and being trans doesn't trump it? time to look for a worse condition that does!

What's worse is she's assumed the worst-case over her interpretation of test results rather than an actual professional opinion. So then Bex has gone from 0-60 imagining that now she needs a biopsy and will likely die soon, when it's also likely the Doctor will say "yes these results are unusual but just requires monitoring and maybe some mild treatment". Apparently abnormal results happen to 1 in 20 women when they have smears, and does not always mean "yep cancer"

But I mean, some people would handle it better. Yeah you got bad news, but set it aside for a day or two while your partner gets over their own medical procedure and settles back in, then talk it out with them and hope for the best.

But Becky probably was like "OMG I HAZ CANCER IT'S WORS THAN UR BLOOD CLOTS" soon as he got home, and then decided that because Daniel might of at some point told her to hang back during his treatment. imitated that with "WELL I CAN'T REALLY DEAL W/ U BECAUSE I AM BUSY BEING VERY SICK :[" then got annoyed because he *actually respected that request* when she wanted an entirely opposite response. People might be mind-readers in badly-written romances but in the real world they get confused if you ask one thing, then expect another.

Call me :late:, but her adoption story makes no fucking sense. Just speaking logistically- I doubt her parents going bankrupt while adopting her wouldve have been allowed through the courts. Even with a closed adoption, lawyers are involved, home studies are conducted, and courts generally do all they can to ensure that the child is going into a stable, financially secure home. Sure, maybe CPS is just as shit at closed adoptions as they are about foster homes, but you'd think bankruptcy (especially before the 6-9 week visit) would be grounds for taking that child into the custody of the courts
