Pat Contri is PatTheNESPunk on youtube, he used to be an AVGN wannabe, but he's now just a more general retro gaming podcaster/youtuber. He's consistently been a voice of reason in the retro gaming community calling out bad practices and shitty behaviour, also he regularly raises money for charity with his annual NES marathons, so it's a bit galling to hear people calling him out for being a shithead, I always thought he was one of the good guys

I wonder, with all this shit apparent as to how big a dumpster fire CA was, if him refusing to let him go was a way to protect JewWario or get him out of having to switch sites without burning bridges by making Pat the bad guy. I need to hear more about the circumstances before I side with CA versus anyone at this point.

I kid, of course. His entire career as a reviewer has been a cry for help because no one has ever taken him or his dumb interests seriously.

Larry and Pat have been feuding for some time now. Over what, I don't know, but Larry has been spreading rumors about him and Pat took a shot at him in one of his videos. I would be somewhat cautious trusting Larry since he's been known to mess around on Encyclopedia Dramatica and such.

Pat didn't own Retroware, so I'm not sure how he could force JewWario to stay. As I heard it, it was Channel Awesome (Mike Michaud, probably, since Doug doesn't care what happens) said JewWario could only be on one site, so he chose Retroware, despite the lower views he'd get.

As far as Pat's book, he's frequently mentioned he's had friends and others write entries for it, so I don't know what people are complaining about.

I like both Larry and Pat's output, but if you're going to ask me who I believe out of the two based on my general knowledge of them, I'd probably side with Pat. Larry's a frequent muckraker and shit stirrer that's always trying to get knee deep in the latest drama to get dem clickz. Pat tends to come off as pretty quiet and drama-averse, though he and Ian frequently comment on it- I don't recall them ever getting heavily into actual drama.

Not that it matters anyway. It's all :autism: in the end.

As much as I don't mind Larry, the content he creates is usually just lists. That's base shit. You can dress it up as much as you like with fancy graphics and a bit of light Googling to really sound like you know what you're talking about but it's still only step above the shit that Watchmojo puts out.

A friend of mine got in contact with Guru Larry.
"Larry's not planning on leaving but not out of any sense of loyalty. to quote: "The site is going to close in a few weeks, so I don't see the point in leaving." So i think he's just staying out of laziness and to enjoy the shitshow behind the scenes. So even Larry only gives the site a few weeks before it goes down."
