Man. Michaud really doesn't understand the situation he's in. If he just wasn't so retarded and prideful, this whole thing would have never caught fire the way it did. All he had to do was say:
"Hey everyone. Many of our former contributors have brought it to our attention that there were several misgivings around how our company has operated in the past. We at Channel Awesome have tried our best to create an atmosphere where many talented individuals can congregate and host their content. Some times we have failed in achieving that goal. When we started Channel Awesome a decade ago, Doug, Rob, + whoever else, and I were simply amateurs 20-somethings working at a Circuit City brought together by a shared dream of creating entertainment. We are not professionals, and as a result, we sometimes make mistakes. We in management were unprepared and unequipped to handle the massive success that Channel Awesome ended up being, and as a result, many of our contributors fell through the cracks. We understand why many of our former contributors may be upset with how things were run, and while we feel that some events described are not accurate from our perspective, other things like example, example, and example did happen on our watch. For that, we are truly sorry.
In the last five years, we have come a long way from where we were in 2013. We are not perfect, but we're trying to be better and make the Channel Awesome experience more rewarding for both our viewers and contributors.
We hope that you all can continue to support us and keep Channel Awesome awesome.
All the best,
Mike Michaud"
Show some contrition, acknowledge some faults, point out that some times mistakes happen, adopt a non-combative tone, and Voilà! Shitstorm avoided.
Instead he's just trying to sling mud back. You know, that thing just drags out the drama?
