What have you recently eaten?

Smoked gruyere and small dill pickles.

Ok faggots I have just finished an experimental meal that turned out to be better than anything I could have dreamed of, and which is also reasonably healthy (clocking in at 400 calories despite being a good sized meal and being about 50% vegetable)

Popcorn Chicken with seasoned kale chip ranch slaw, and pickle chips on the side

1 serving of homemade popcorn chicken (or store bought if you lazy)
1 serving of pickle chips that i made yesterday (optional)
70g or 1 bowl of kale (remove stems)
Ranch dressing
Seasoning of your choice

basically I did a standard kale chip recipe (i.e. got a bowl of kale, massaged in salt and olive oil and in my case some cajun seasoning) with a bit extra salt and then when cool I mixed it with a few tablespoons of ranch dressing (dont need too much, just enough to bind the crispy kale together) and then accompanied it with my popcorn chicken and pickle chips.

It was like eating fried chicken with a bag of high quality smashed up crinkle cut potato chips with a glorious ranch hit in every bite. I wolfed the whole plate down in like 4 minutes and wished there was more. Im serious. This shit was fucking amazing and aside from the batter coating of the chicken and pickle chips it was really fuckin healthy (since I oven roasted it all)

I am officially replacing any and all salads with variations of this recipe (i.e. meat with a bigass bowl of kale slaw using different sauces as the binder) because it is that fucking good.

They are only $1 at Rite Aid. They're pretty good and very cheap and you get ten so they last a long time. They look nothing like the cookie on the package though. I'm thinking at some point the cookie was changed and they're too cheap to update the packaging. The cookies have no ridges and have "NICE" pressed into them.

These mini-fries I covered in salt, pepper, garlic, paprika, and red pepper flakes. They come out amazing with a bit of olive oil coating them and after a session in the "air fryer" (convection oven really). Had a cheese sandwich to go with it too.

Oh, nice biscuits. You get those here in quite big packets for fairly cheap. Likely they're an repackaged import from the UK/Europe.

pan fried chicken with fries. They were alright, but the fries I probably cooked on too high a temperature given they were crunchier than normal.
