She corrected the statement where she said that Justin left on his own accord and was not fired. Looks like it indeed was JewWario who was "grooming" fans, and that most of the other producers weren't aware it was him.

So, in their attempts at damage control, they accidentally dropped this Jew Wario bomb and potentially made everything worse? Hahaha! Bang up job, Mike!

Made it worse for who? The Jewario stuff actually rather reflects better on them. They were alerted to a problem and predator in a anonymous manner. They seemingly researched it, talked to lawyers, and fired said producer quickly and without turning it into a public mess. They weathered the scorn and abuse from fans and fellow producers for years, while taking the professional road. It explains why Jewario wasn’t coming back (nope clearly was not Pat Cintri) it explains why Michaud was reluctant and unenthusiastic regarding tribute videos. Yet still went along with them to preserve HR confidentiality. Outside of a small pool of screaming autists, this particular piece really does not look that bad for CA themselves, beyond why did nobody notice sooner?

But remember Todd in the Shadows classic Justin rant at Gamergate? The loving reverence they all hold Justin? Just how many predators and pedophiles have the Chez Apocalypse crew all been found shielding protecting and encouraging over the past 3 years or so? “I knew Justin Carmichael! Justin Carmichael was a friend of mine...” really?

I get it's really trendy to jump on these consumer revolt hashtags but considering a lot of these producers have been toxic and have repeatedly found themselves in the middle of cliquey drama, i don't see why anyone here is taking them at face value. The writing is on the wall for channel awesome but it has been for awhile and the snowflakes at CA who would exploit any opportunity to grand stand are the same ones doing it as the ship sinks. Amazing to watch either way, i'm just curious as to why some users are ignoring that nearly all these people are severely damaged and aren't capable of building a healthy community in the first place.

Channel Awesome is done for a variety of reasons. The internet evolved past their business model YouTube hovered it all up. Michaud setting it all on fire doesn’t help. And at the end of the day nobody involved comes out for the better here. Every one of these flaming autists, both management and producers has largely damaged themselves and their brand by being involved in the shit flinging. The only ones who made out ok were those with minimal contact to CA and fellow producers, who got out politely right at the beginning of this mess. Ones like SF debris and Mike Jeavons who used CA to gain followers to their own operation, then bailed in an understandable way when the finger pointing started. The rest? Nobodies going to give Michaud any money or financing. The Walkers will keep making their little horrible skits in an old warehouse until the bank shows up with the sheriff. Oh look their only other resume item is “worst janitor ever!” For everyone else? Channel Awesome on the resume is likely not a huge benefit to future employment or partnership. This is how the world ends. Not with a bang. Not with a Whisper. But with a horde of autists pointing at each other while shrieking and flinging poop.

Doesn't sound like something someone who was "groomed" and was mad about it would say. Especially if you consider that Carmical committed suicide a year after "Jane Doe" claims to have reported him to CA. So either this is the wrong person, or she changed her mind just to have a #MeToo moment.

From all present information the timeline would be like this:
-at some points in 2012-2013(?)- Carmical "grooms her"
-1.21.2013 - Jane Doe goes to CA and reports Carmical to them, they want to hold a meeting to decide what to do.
-2.12.2013 - CA decides to part ways with Carmical
-2.15.2013 - Carmical was let go by CA
-1.23.2014 - Carmical committed suicide

Now, in April of 2018, she decided to shit on her best friend's reputation, just to get back at someone she blames for his death, as revenge for that very same friend? I don't know, dude. Seems like she had more than enough time to think this through.

My first inclination is to think if someone had a gripe about Jewario's extra curricular activity or "grooming" efforts it would be the same people complaining about predatory behavior now and back then.

It makes sense they would want to defend CA since they are paid employees and these attacks affect their future livelihood. That being said, it is an odd choice to join Michaud and the Walkers by implying the past contributors are liars. They should have stuck with a through line saying that their experience in CA was nothing like the one described by the former contributors, particularly since most of those individuals were gone by the time they joined CA. Tack on a "we are always working to be better" statement and chug along. Any attempt to silence or discredit the ex-contributors is just bringing additional attention to their criticism and puts CA further in the hole..

Unrelated - do we know why Sage has not left the site? I believe he is the only current contributor outside of Cinema Snob to have been apart of the site when they were still doing the anniversary videos
