I just thought of something- could JewWario also be the person Jane Doe was talking about in her story? Going by the current reaction, I've got a sketchy feeling that this might narrow down some suspicions.

EDIT: Apparently this was already established a few pages ago. Although I'm taking this with a tiny grain of salt, it doesn't eliminate my doubt.

I do have to wonder though, have Tamara or Malcolm even met the other contributors? I can see maybe meeting Brad and pals (and possibly Lupa), but the others... Not so much.

As for Sage, I'm beginning to wonder if he's just in it for the ride like Larry is at this point, ditto D-Toons/Toons These Days and Blockbuster Buster.

Brad's going to be the last to leave, his loyalty towards Doug and Rob is so strong.

The only way I could see Brad jumping ship early is if Michaud actually decides to sue everyone involved in the Not So Awesome document for libel.

As far as I know, he kinda cared about Justin too. So hearing that something like that was put under the rug, he may actually confront them. And if he does, I get the feeling there will be a lot of bridges burned.

What was the average age of Jew Wario's viewers? Depending on that hitting on fans at cons could either seem like a really sad version of groupies for rock stars, or incredibly creepy.

When I woke up this morning and saw that this thread jumped up like 10 pages detailing more people leaving, Michaud REEEEing at the producers with the bullet points, and the possibility of JewWario being the one who groomed fans, that was all the coffee I needed to get out of bed.

As far as I recall, Kitty Marie was an obsessive JW fangirl that got close. She would hound him at cons, act exceptional and immature, and then make claims he was her beeeeest friend. Whether he was just polite to her, or actually did groom her, I don't know. Fans DID make a donation pool for her to be able to fly out to go to his funeral. To her credit, she didn't ask for it and even gave the money to Justin's widow.

Maybe we need to define groomer going forward because the girl in question was legal age and saying she was mentally 16 means absolutely nothing legally or morally. Also, every single one of these people are "mentally 16". For all we know Jane Doe was always impressionable, for crushing on Jewario, For letting a pamphlet she just finds convince her Jewario was some kind of pedo even though she was a legal adult, and for getting involved in change the channel once the whole things already burning. She may have been reached out to and coached to help ad juicy tidbits to the document but it's still a bunch of hearsay.

Between that and some producers personal crusades of culling suspected misogynists from the Channel, it's hard for me to put much stock in the language used here considering Channel Awesome's willingness to throw people under the bus for moral aggrandizement.

SOOO to be more frank, this sounds like it was a lot of nobodies business since it's not criminal, but certain parties at CA obviously couldn't help themselves but to get involved. My guess is people who grieved did so because they didn't agree with jewario's removal in the first place or were exploiting it for views.

This is somerthing I really want to address. I wholeheartedly believe that Michaud and the Walkers are incompetent, abusive retards, but that DOES NOT mean that people like Lupa, Spoony, Lindsey, Todd, or Brad are completely innocent in all of this either. Lindsey in particular I think had a history of being shitty with people. Her account in the Google Doc made me raise an eyebrow, since it strongly seemed to imply that her main issue with Michaud was that he didn't have CA go on an official crusade against Gamergate and 8chan.

Again, CA as a whole absolutely does deserve the heat, but I strongly suspect that a ton of former producers have a hidden (Well, not so hidden, in Lindsey's case) agenda at play here. I wonder just how reliable the doc really is.

Is it bad that I still have a tiny amount of pity left for Doug because I can honestly see him placing the entirety of the blame on his shoulders and doing something stupid when Michautist is the root of the problem?

I know Doug's an accessory, generally accepted as a bad comedian here and hilariously incompetent but I don't think he's had any malice of intent during this whole thing; he's a people pleaser to the end. I know he really likes the movie Ed Wood, and I think that may have influenced his hopelessly optimistic ethos in producing media, to the point where I honestly think he completely misunderstood the intent of the movie, but I can at least respect his optimism in trying to make people laugh, even if he's cultivated a fanbase of spergs.

Doug to me is more of a benign lolcow, rather than a toxic lolcow like Michautist.
