If Chris was 25% more self aware, or if Barb was capable of exploiting him, he really could cash in on his fame. I suppose the fact that neither of them can is why we follow them, though.
I love how Chris put this at 10k and expects the buyer to pay 5 bucks for shipping.
well i mean that guy also had to pay for all the souls that totem had eatenRemember some moron did pay $1,500 for his sonic totem.
You know Chris truly is desperate when he has an "everything must go" sale. The desperation is real.
"Long term benefit > short term pleasure" seems to be an alien concept to Chris."Please buy my ring off of Ebay, so I can buy thousands of dollars worth of Lego sets and pay my court bills"

You’d be crazy not to buy this piece of autistic history for only $5,000!
I don't know. Bob and Barb never really seemed to understand the cult that sprung up around Chris (not that I blame them for that; it is an odd concept) and I can't see her connecting the dots between Chris, his ironic fans, the amnyfest ring, and weens snapping up Chris's garbage to come up with the idea that his high school ring could be worth a small fortune.Honestly I think raising the price ten fold was a subconscious passive way to keep the ring.
Barb was probably all: "sell that damn ring right now! This is your mess!"
There's probably a setting on eBay to auto-refuse offers less than a certain threshold value, so Chris doesn't have to deal with hundreds of low-ball offers.Chris seems to be auto refusing offers.
I offered $1.00, $1.01, $1.02, and even went so far as $3.50; but I got turned down each time.
Y'know, I don't even think it's Chris lying as much as it is a reflection of his belief system du jour.Times when Chris has lied counter has increased yet again.
High school rings are virtually valueless, except for maybe the gold in them (for those that are actually made with gold; most aren't). It's a big, clunky ring with a fake glass gem that has all sorts of customizations unique to the school, the graduation year, and the individual. Other than the possibility of provenance (which is exactly what Chris is counting on) there is virtually no resale market for class rings.Maybe if he got.it professionally cleaned he could get it appraised, and it might sell for $200-$300 if he is lucky.

Doesn't that just sound like the sort of shit that would pass as the moral of the story in those cartoons he watches?
- Trolls acquire the original medallion? His power's not in his medallion; it's in his ring.
- Chris tries to sell the ring? His power's not in the ring; it's in the medallion (even though it was sort of in him all the time).
