Dogpatch ignores the fact that califur was plagued by issues for years, blaming Alt-Furry because they're the only thing that gets cons cancelled.

So far the only Altfurry attack is the chlorine gas attack at MFF a few years ago and we still don't know who did it, though apparently Foxler was either an informant for or was just being watched by the FBI over having supposed info on it.

And correct me if I'm wrong, that happened before AltFurry even had a name. I wouldn't doubt that attack having some kind of political basis to it but I could also believe that it was apolitical and was done out of sheer spite.

Yes, at the time that happened, there was no indication that I ever saw that it had anything to do with politics, and that was before I ever heard of alt-anything. I think there might have been speculation that it was some kind of anti-furry muh fursecution thing from the outside, but at the time I wasn't aware of any sentiment of an enemy element within furry just yet. It just seemed like someone dropped a jar of powdered chlorine like for a pool or something, and then it got blown into a big deal like someone had conspired to do some kind of WW1 chlorine gas attack on the convention. If it is deliberate, I just think it's weird that they would gas the stairwell, that's all. They do know what convention they're at, right?

Where is this new altfurry angle coming from though? It's news to me.

It appears furries are retconning the attack as being the fault of AltFurry due to Foxler's supposed involvement with the person responsible.

But Foxler is also a fucking idiot who doesn't know what the fuck he's talking about, so take that claim with a grain of salt.

yeah the midwest furfest staircase chlorine gas attack happened on Dec 7th, 2014. Obama was still halfway through his second term. There was no alt... anything. Whoever did it and why they did it is one of the fandom's greatest mysteries. Even the mainstream picked up on it at the time like people magazine http://people.com/crime/midwest-furfest-disrupted-by-chlorine-gas-attack/
Nineteen people were hospitalized when an incident involving chlorine gas disrupted the Midwest FurFest convention at the Hyatt hotel in Rosemont, Illinois, early Sunday.

The Chicago Tribune reports that first responders were called to investigate a noxious odor on the hotel’s ninth floor and discovered high levels of chlorine gas in the air.

The building was evacuated, and 19 people, with a variety of medical problems stemming from exposure to the gas, were transported to nearby hospitals.

This past weekend, the Hyatt was hosting the Midwest FurFest, an annual celebration of – in the convention’s website’s words – “Furry fandom, that is, art, literature, and performance based around anthropomorphic animals.”

The fest draws thousands of attendees each year, according to its website.

As for the source of the gas, technicians discovered a quantity of what appeared to be powdered chlorine in a stairwell on the ninth floor. After the area was decontaminated, people were allowed back into the building around 4:20 a.m. Sunday.

Some of the attendees, still dressed as animals, remained outside.

Morgan Smejkal and Chris Delaney traveled from Iowa to attend the FurFest. “It was shocking,” Smejkal, dressed in a red panda suit, told the Tribune as she stood outside the hotel.

Rosemont police are investigating the incident as a criminal matter, according to a statement they released, noting that the manner by which the chlorine was released “suggest[ed] an intentional act.”

Midwest FurFest continued through Sunday evening, said event organizers, adding: “We ask you to continue to be patient, and remember that the volunteers who make Midwest FurFest happen intend to give 110 percent to make sure that the fun, friendship and good times of Midwest FurFest 2014 overshadow last night’s unfortunate incident.”

Today: Foxler did the chlorine attack
Tomorrow: Foxler created 4chan and Something Awful to be mean to furries for no reason (also, was sponsored by Putin)
The day after: Foxler created Christianity to bring the dark ages of people abandoning animal-headed deities

Seriously though, they're giving that guy way too much credit. Guy is so pathetic, he can't even string a convincing lie nor able to decide when to be sincere and when to be wacky and edgy. He just goes with the flow, which leads to river rapids smashing him into the rocks all the time.

The guy can barely type out a coherent sentence and you expect him to be the mastermind of a gas attack AND to have not gotten immediately caught?

I'm amazed if the dude can wear shoes without velcro straps.

Oh yes, it did at least bring us this:

I thought this video was awesome at the time, and it still is. Bonus points for footage of Sam Conway drunk, bobbing his head around and assuring all us worried viewers that the cold won’t be bad for the furs turned out of the hotel - because fursuits are warm!

I also remember Xydexx lamenting on this Twitter at how unfair this reaction was and that “it’s like you read about a clown college catching on fire and instead of being sad people laugh, because clowns!” Well, that’s what happens when you dress up in silly outfits and do silly things, like you and all the other furries, Xydexx. You make yourself into a clown.

So Dragoneer is a Nazi now?
I mean Dogpatch's logic is "only a nazi would abide by nazi artwork uploaded onto his furry porn hosting site!"

Interestingly, Dragoneer has been active on twitter today and yesterday so he must of seen all the rage directed at him and he is choosing to ignore it. He's showcasing his passport and explaining how to pronounce his last name instead:

Dragoneer might be playing a smart hand not giving dogpatch the attention he desperately is seeking and not feeding his horde of trolls looking for a dragoneer dogpile.
