The only good thing about this really is that the anatomy is okay. Everything else just drags the picture down so much. The saddest part is that I know this artist. Maybe it has to do with bullying of a fandom we were both in, but she didn't start with this artstyle until about late 2016 early 2017. Either she was experimenting and liked the style so much that she stuck with it for worse, or that the bullying caused her to dramatically shift her style (it was a small fandom and odd to find bullying by that but tumblr is full of shitstains).

I like how their second point is: "learn to draw Asians but not just eastern Asians", which translate as it's okay to draw them black and Indian, yet they will keep ignoring the existence of southeast Asians and NO WHITEWASHIIING!! As if Russia wasn't in Asia as well. I mean, I guess it's easy to miss when you never look at the world map.
Also, as always, I think that's pretty hypocrite to make it okay to draw the characters as any other races, as Japan is pretty ethically homogeneous and considering that's how Japan wants to stay. It's just shows once more than the PC thing to do nowadays is just shitting on white people while they proceed to muddle up others' culture. Cuz that's totally not disrespectful when they do it.

Seeing this art compared to the new one is just...I don't even know what to say. She was so on track with her old artwork. Yeah, it's a bit weird, but it has potential and it looks appealing. I could see this being some cute cartoon style. Her colors are neat, the linework is solid and it looks pretty decent. Comparing this to the teen titans work just makes it even worse. I think this really proves that any developing artist should stay off tumblr unless they follow some really popular decent drawing blog. It's for their own good at this point. The more you stay on the site, the more the awful drawing habits seem to follow. Almost every other artist who is good at drawing (as we've seen on this thread) has became worse coming to Tumblr. Why?

Maybe it's because you can customize your feed? It's been a good long while since I've been on DA but I remember there being the front page with all sorts of stuff on it. Tumblr can very easily become an artistic echo chamber, especially if you're only following all the most popular artists. You're only being exposed to the same style again and again.

In their minds, the age-old advice "don't feed the trolls" is rooted in white male privilege or whatever bullshit and not throwing a tantrum at everything they don't like means that you're quietly condoning it and creates "racist" memes like Pepe and Knuckles - not that their hissy fits create the issue by encouraging people to spread the memes just to laugh at how mad it makes them.

If you don't feed the trolls, you don't get to be outraged.

You’d think a show that’s plot is literally “entitled obnoxious pervy cishet men desperately try to get in girl’s pants but fail humorously every time: the show” would turn a lot of tumblrinas off but somehow you can’t take two steps in a matsu tag without seeing this sorta thing

for whatever reason they clung onto chibita (the caillou looking guy) and karamatsu (essentially a johnny bravo type character) as the top tier “acceptable” ship in the show, as everything else is either incest or Straight™.

it’s better than all the tumblrinas that are into todomatsu (his entire schtick is acting gay but being super straight and getting friendzoned for his behavior) and a background character that literally only speaks one line, and not even to him. the fangirls are really desperate for yaoi, but shipping incest would besmirch their sjw reps

the tumblrinas self projected onto karamatsu because he’s bullied and he’s :autism:. it’s impossible to find anything that doesnt involve him being suicidal or being gay. the guy canonically sniffs used panties he gets from skeevy porn mags, but tumblr worships him as a projecting posterchild. i just don’t get it.

The Osomatsu-san fandom does a shit ton of reaching when it comes to relationships and pairings because they focus on the brothers so much. And if you're not a BLmatsu shipper you have to find your ships somewhere else. When you could - ya know - just not ship anyone, a show doesn't have to have romantic subtexts to be enjoyed. But this is tumblr so of course they have to ship for the sake of projecting and filling some kind of agenda. The brothers are all straight af (aside from Karamatsu who has canonically been interested in males too--though not sure if it's out of desperation, probably is) so even incest is out of the question. Nyaa-chan is married, Totoko is straight and has never shown interest in women, and Chibita is just...Chibita. I don't think he would want a relationship with someone who annoys the shit out of him and won't pay for his fucking meal. Just let the show be a stupid comedy, christ. I dislike the Karabita ship quite heavily.

What I don't get is why they make both Karamatsu and Todomatsu trans. They're supposed to be identical sextuplets.

These LGBT's flag shirts are sooooo annoying. It's just laziness ! Especially when the colours are 99% of the times picked from a flag directly found on Google, which make them more lazy than I though. Also it's unrealistic, even the real pride shirts are not like this and nobody walk with that kind of shirt.
I've also noticed most of them never draw -or barely try- clothes folds. Shirts are never flat, they are marks that shapes the body, but Tumblrinas "artists" don't even care. Guess it's too hard so they give up.

I'd argue that there are cases where fanworks can be better than canon/the author's word should probably be ignored (J.K. Rowling...) but I agree with the 'gay-baiting' thing. People who treat that as actual oppression need a reality check.
