Phil isn't even good for his salt though. Between stream chat (guiding him to avoid salt) and him rage quitting (or more accurately, bored/frustrated quitting) his salt content is stale. I can understand not enjoying a game and then going 'hey guys, im not really enjoying this so im gonna sit this out for a bit' without the drama of deleting it etc. But he goes half way and then pretends to rage, which isn't even close to entertaining, its just shit acting.

This is why his street fighter goal is terrible. He will get mad, fake rage and give vault boy more content to work with, without offering anything close to watchable content for his fans nor his detractors.

The Bloodborne playthrough currently going on is a great example of this. People who fall under the "detractor" category were pumped for this, and we saw how it went. You know he thinks he is going to get detractor's to sub for this Street Fighter thing, and I wouldn't be shocked if a few actually did. He can play Street Fighter on the hardest difficulty while wearing an eye patch and his hands duct taped together, he'll still find a way to make it unwatchable.

Phil doesn't have it in him anymore. When he was at his best he was "riding the gravy train baby." Now he hates his "job" and the only genuine emotional response is when someone throws him $100 or more. Regardless if you fall on the detractor side or fan side you aren't going to get what you want. Despite what he has said he never put out what could be considered "kwality kahntent," but the trash he puts out today is pathetic.

It has most certainly been asked before but what is the educated guess on what he is going to do with himself when it all finally falls apart?

He has a mountain dew kickstart for every day stream, and I've heard him open a second one on multiple occasions. He's (not surprisingly) full of shit.

Also, he's made ~$1 for each of his Sigrun deaths.

Edit: Double-checked -- $40.92 (cheers + subs) and 36 deaths to Sigrun. LOL.

I'll note DSP got all three of his visible tips after beating Sigrun - 2x$5 & $10. What's even sadder is he got no visible tips for CoDWWII at all, just his income spam noting a $1 tip from 'Kozatof' & a $2 tip from SuperBatCat - naturally I won't track these.

When I heard what his current subs goal is - 'marathon' of playing hard arcade mode through all Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection titles - I had to laugh. Frankly I expected him to beat arcade mode on hard in each game with one character at least anyway, and since he's a 'pro' at SF this shouldn't even be hard - remember it's called SNK boss syndrome, not Capcom. So he expects people to sub for a marathon of shit he should be doing anyway & won't be an entertaining challenge anyway.
This also gives no reason to pledge to Patreon since there's nothing to nominate or vote over, maybe which character he plays? I doubt he'll let that happen. But then it looks like only 3 people bothered to pledge $5 in the 2nd half of April after the 450 subs goal was hit on April 15th anyway.

he's always surprised he gets shot on the side and back when he bolts out into a field and never accounts for people just around corners
it's like he expects everyone else to be in predictable places and move like they are part of a light gun game (jump out in front of phil and give him time to shoot before shooting back)
i wonder if he has to leave notes for himself saying that "kat is just at work, she did not disappear"

An infant might have full grasp of object permanence at 18-24 months. A dog can usually get the idea when motivated and even cats can have it in relation to food. Ravens and other corvids have displayed object permanence, as have bottlenosed dolphins. It really is unfair to expect Phil to compete with chihuahuas and dolphins, he's just not as sophisticated. I decline this opportunity to research horses.

What has he ever done with his degree anyway? He doesn't even has any use for it in his current "job" or he at least doesn't use any proper knowledge.

Maybe, but I'm in the camp that doesn't think Phil is retarded as much as he is a lazy bum. He knows that he's a pigroach, but he convinces himself otherwise because it pads his bank account. For him to actively cover up his faults requires awareness of them.

He does follow the same formula of begging, lying and providing boring low-skilled gameplay that apparently Tevin, Snort and all the other heavily invested people get baited by to make content. So i really can't see them going away overnight. I've not watched one full stream of this guy, as he is boring as shit, and reminds me of all that is wrong with stream culture. He already has enough retards to sustain him for decades (assuming they never grow the fuck up), so it's understandable why he would get boring. Guy's gonna keep lying till his last breath to make a dollar, and if he does go away, it'll be most likely a whimper.

Look it's not like we have a choice.
A normal good entertainer is like a bouquet of many flowers. You can smell them if you want, don't need to.
DSP on the other hand is a flashlight right in your eye. You need to step up and say "Fuck you".
The simple result of provocative actions. In a very strange way, he did something right, by doing something very wrong, I guess.
