Of course, they're from X years ago, so it doesn't count.

How in the hell does Bob struggle with money? Looking at his Graphtreon he makes more than I do off of Patreon alone, and I do just fine, and I live in a pretty expensive part of a large city. Bills paid, taxes paid, rent my own apartment, putting money into savings, no longer eating ramen at least one meal a day like in my college days...

Maybe this sounds like bragging but it's to drive home a point, I'm pretty certain I should have a higher cost of living where I am, yet for some reason I haven't had money complaints in well over a year making what I do, while Bob over here somehow makes more, AND lives in his mother's basement, while at least once a month brings up how hard he's struggling to just get by.

I'm reasonably sure he splurges hard on Nintendo shit, probably throws it around for prestige stuff, and apparently compulsively goes watch capeshit over and over again. He also eats a fuckton of McDickholes, and eating out ain't cheap.

I fully expect he just doesn't budget.

Bob has to make up a definition of merit and meritocracy because they're concepts he has zero experience with. I guess the lack of Nintendo Scouts in the 80s is to blame.

None of this is impressive, Bob. It's all meaningless purple prose to describe how you stand in front of a camera to rate movies and also sit in front of a computer for an inordinate amount of time.
And it doesn't help that he has a complete lack of knowledge on the topics he talks about in his videos.

He also has to pay for his own insurance, which can’t be cheap with the beetus and being a fat slob and being self-employed means he has to manage his own income tax.

Yeah. I have a friend who is trying out the whole YouTube thing for fun after his day job and he has told me that once he started scripting, he can have film and produce a video in about 2-3 hrs. And he doesn't even have ad revenue OR a patreon.

So fuck off, Bob. You're either lying or really bad at your job if you haven't figured out ways to do it faster.

"Taking a lot of time milling around" is not the definition of "merit".

Well, if he can't understand Dragon Ball, what chance does he have with Anarchism?

Does internet anarchism even have a definition?

If Bobby is in a rape-revenge film, he'd be the half-wit, constantly scared brother who didn't participate but gets killed because he is dumb enough to step on a booby trap. The heroine after his death, "I'm so sorry Bobby. You good boy dindu nuffin."

How much was he paid at The Escapist if it was a steady paycheck?

I haven't the faintest idea how much, no r could I possibly find out. But steady is not dependant on amount, but regularity. He was producing at least two videos a week (Escape to the Movies and whatever he called In Bob We Trust back then) and a written article a week. As an artist, a consistent and regular paycheck is often far more valuable than a large but infrequent one.

The Big Picture, IIRC.
