Snes9x has been around for years (the "9x" part was originally because it was merged between two emulators, "Snes96" and "Snes97"), it's not the best at playing obscure titles and there's still a few glitches (most notably with Stunt Race FX) but it's fast, solid, and has a good user interface. I still remember how blown away I was when nearly two decades ago when my cousin was playing Super Mario World or Link to the Past on his iMac. And speaking of two decades ago, how old is this guy? Most of us were fairly young in 2004, either teens or not even there yet. So a few theories on his age:This is why I use snes9x. I don't know who programmed it but they're probably not a tranny furfag sped.
1. 13 year old whiz kid, 28 year old furry failure. Sad because late 20s joining furry fandom is already on the upper echelon itself, plus being that bright as a kid probably meant that at this time in his life he could be making a great salary as a software engineer.
2. 16 year old teenager, 31 year old furry failure. Makes the furry part even worse, probably dropped out of college. (This is probably the most likely guess, but I dunno)
3. 19 year old college dropout, 34 year old furry failure. Yikes, but given what we've seen with Schmorky it's well within the range of plausibility.
