3 million dollar bail lol. I wonder if that's "We don't want him getting bail because he's an alleged child molester" or if he was deemed a flight risk.

I need to go back and listen to this fully or at least make a transcription of this video.
TIL that it's also common practice to charge an arrested individual with the most severe crime possible so that bail will be set higher, even if it's almost certain those charges will be reduced in prosecution or conviction. Its actually set at 2.1 million dollars. The reason the amount is high isn't only about flight risk, its also about how severe the crime is.

Yeah the only thing I knew about bail before this was that judges aren't supposed to use it to prevent someone from posting bail for the sole reason of "we want this guy to stay in jail as punishment" since obviously that's imprisonment without conviction of a crime. This is how Texas sets bail (Jetrex was in California, this is just reading on the topic):

@AnOminous can you give us spergs your legal opinion on all this? Thanks. For comparison (from the same Police Department press releases):
View attachment 453270
= $850,000 bail
View attachment 453271
= $300,000 bail
View attachment 453272
= $915,000 bail
View attachment 453275
= $2,473,000 bail
The police department's press release states that Jetrex bail is set at "$3 million" but the actual prison booking page says $2.1 million
So if the amount is $2.1 million or $3 million its pretty indicative that whatever he did was extremely heinous. I'm sure there are people on here who have a better understanding on what could prompt an extremely high bail amount like that.

On further consideration he might get a tiny bit of leniency if he can provide rock solid evidence bringing down people worse than him.
His life is still ruined, either way. He's not walking away from this one, and anyone associated with him should be afraid.
I'm not @AnOminous but I'll.give you my (not licensed and not practicing) legal opinion:
He be fucked.
