It happened in the middle of the night - emergency after hours vet costs raise the price of that exponentially.Won't argue with that.
However, tweeting that the cat is about to die (and possibly needing money to cover euthanizing fees) really wasn't the brightest thing to do.
It's really faggy to hassle Chris about this.
Some of you people really fucking suck. It's really faggy to hassle Chris about this.
If you’ve ever sit in on a manic Chris stream, you know such an environment doesn’t exist within 14BCSometimes the warm blanket in a quiet, dimly lit space is the best you can do.
I don't like the idea of paying the Chandler's to own pets. If you do that they will get more pets and use them to emotionally blackmail money out of youPeople have mentioned on their own that they would be willing to pay. It's arguable about how necessary that is, considering Chris' recent poverty.
But Chris is a slimy motherfucker. Especially now, after whatever it was that he's been through. He's not going to make up any shit about his pets yet (but his degeneracy is increasing), but if he asks for money for Pollo's euthanasia and he gets a few hundred extra dollars, well, he's not going to send that back.
If Chris is really claiming poverty and can't pay (which is possible), then someone could facilitate making sure any donations went to their stated goal.
Though I'd note that Chris doesn't go out and acquire new cats, as in purchasing them or getting them from the animal shelter. Chris takes in strays that are already hanging around outside of 14BC looking for food.
Anything I've said in Chris' favor as to him taking care of his pets is tightly restricted to: outdoor cats that basically use 14BC as a flophouse, and they seem to want to come back to 14BC regularly. I think it's exceptional when people think Chris can't leave a dish of food and water out successfully. But I also lose any sense of humor about the situation if the "outdoor cat" assumption no longer holds. (Like if Chris starts keeping the cats indoors and refusing to let them out. Or the whole situation with the dogs, for example.)
Basically:
- Chris might legit be poor, he's been through some shit recently.
- Chris might also not be poor after he paid off Seterus. Hard to tell.
- Whatever shit Chris went through has made him really... hard. I can't really judge him for how he is reacting to it, but I also don't trust him either.
I can't think of too many (any?) examples of Chris using his pets to scam money out of anyone.I don't like the idea of paying the Chandler's to own pets. If you do that they will get more pets and use them to emotionally blackmail money out of you
I wouldn't put it past him. If people start offering he may put two and two togetherI can't think of too many (any?) examples of Chris using his pets to scam money out of anyone.
Yet.

Before the events of the past six months, he wouldn't have bothered. He'd have to work too hard to rationalize lying about needing money for something.I wouldn't put it past him. If people start offering he may put two and two together
Basically the emotional equivalent of actually digging up Patti.I've always kind of wondered if Chris would go "dark", and how it would happen.

Something you said he would never do again at least. Now though, he's kinda snapped.
Chris did need money for euthanasia. That's not a scam.He already did, though - when putting his old phone up for sale; he included Pollo's failing health and mentioned possibly needing money to have him euthanized if the cat didn't die on its own.
Do what?Something you said he would never do again at least.
What a dumbass fucking lazy cunt who doesn't see the opportunities in front of him. He could totally make a killing being a Convention merchandise seller but nope. Fuckhead is too afraid of working and learning to deal with people.
Chris did need money for euthanasia. That's not a scam.
Chris has received thousands of dollars in completely free money and has never once used it constructively; I can promise you with 98% certainty that any money he would've received would've likely not gone towards euthanasia.Chris did need money for euthanasia. That's not a scam.
A scam is dishonesty. As in "hey, I need money for my dying cat", but the cat isn't actually dying. It certainly is crass and sleazy. But I wouldn't call it a scam.I'd have to disagree with that when he's tweeting pictures of Pollo as the poor cat laid dying (which is what CWC did - the picture is available on page 591 under a spoiler - it's rather heartbreaking to look at).
It's enough to know the cat is sick/dying - nobody needed to see the cat actually on death's door.
Lol, how the fuck do you know?Chris has received thousands of dollars in completely free money and has never once used it constructively;
If the cat was still alive by the time Chris received the money, it would've gone to its euthanasia.I can promise you with 98% certainty that any money he would've received would've likely not gone towards euthanasia.
