Okay, I tried reading her original work and fuck me, it was awful. I gave up shortly after Lainey came out as "Lance" and then was instantly just a boy. And boy, were there a lot of references to horror movies in that story. So many that it became distracting.

I also found it amusing that we have confirmation Sapphire is a Spooky Kid-era goth, where it's Marilyn Manson and that's pretty much it. No Siouxsie and the Banshees, no Bauhaus, no Sisters of Mercy or The Damned or Alien Sex Fiend or anything resembling post-punk. It's like she knew that Marilyn Manson was a media scapegoat, especially after Columbine, and she latched onto that.

And as far as big pop stars go, most goths prefer David Bowie over Michael Jackson. I haven't met very many goths that don't like "Thriller," though.

Goth was essentially about the music and clubbing with friends. You thirfted and dyed whatever you could get your hands on and make it yours. The messy hair, the make up,you did what you could with what you had.

Anyway, she could look better if she adopted 80s trad goth fashion instead of whatever the hell she is going for. And yes, you can add your weird make up colors to it. You don't need large sums of money like modern goths do. Just be thifty and learn to dye, it's easy as pie.

I'm surprised it hasn't occurred to her that maybe Richard Ramirez isn't the best person to idolize and also try to espouse any sort of feminism. RR was not just a serial killer he was a serial rapist who raped many of his victims from as young as 9 years old all the way up to their 70s.
