I think the best part of the Battlefield 1 campaign was the part where you play as the Harlem Hellfighters and I honestly wish that was the vast majority of the campaign instead of a prologue. I think what irks me about this is that people try to justify it by saying there were women that fought in the war, there were black people in the war so lets just have women and black people running around everywhere. I think I'd much rather have a game that uses those stories of those people that were in the war rather then use them to support just throwing them in wherever. You could even make it where some of the maps you play as specific battalions instead of the same generic German or American units. That way you can have the diversity and the historic accuracy. That or just make it an alternate history thing and go all out on it but don't even try to say its accurate in the slightest. And to which I say: this is an AAA FPS. Going in expecting realism or making concessions to reality in favor of player comfort/gameplay is a mistake. If you want your realistic white-on-white brother war, go play Project Reality or Red Orchestra or some shit. You're lucky that WWII games are being made period in this climate.
I have a feeling this will be a BF1 situation where the diverse character models are put up front and the actual campaign (presuming it has one, considering the market's continuing decline in quality) will all be whites. But then again, we are all screeching about the color of pixels in a video game. You culture warriors might think that's important, but people don't really care.
